About seeing a girl in a guy's photo on a dating app... I think it's super subjective. If it's a group photo with different genders in the shot, it's probably not looked at critically. If it's just the guy and a girl in a photo, obviously it would be looked at more critically. Some girls might start wondering who she is or making comparisons with the girl and herself.
