I don't even know what wrongthink is but I'm guessing it has something to do with stating an opinion. So England has become the thing that everyone feared what would happen if sensitive SJW's took over politics.

This reminds me of that Family Guy episode where Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe committed a ridiculous crime so that they could go and spend the night at a local jail instead of experiencing the stress of Thanksgiving. However, they quickly realized that the jail was full of men who had the same idea and were sent to a prison instead. They then had to join different gangs in order to survive and had to 'shiv' each other. So yeah, prison is scary and San Quentin is no exception.

Exsactly what I've always felt when you had to deal with really overbearing really troubled and abusive parents it feels like prison but it all depends on how bad the prison is and how bad the house abuse is and well just think my parents have been to prison for things before so maybe there just alot like those people you'll meet in prison

While any prison in California is an incubator for gang politics and warfare, San Quentin is far from the most dangerous prison. California State Prison- Sacramento is far more violent with a much higher homocide rate than the much more famous San Quentin and Folsom State Prisons.

anyone who’s been to prison in california will be able to tell you san quentin is one of the most peaceful prisons in the state

Technically Pelican Bay is the worst in CA. It’s where they house all of the heads of the gangs in California. They have a long history of riots and even though the place where they house the head gang members (SHU) they all still able to run the gangs not just at the prison, but other prisons and the streets. They’re the ones who have to okay intra-gang beatings and all killings. There was one gang leader that was able to pay cash for his daughter to go to college, while he was behind bars. They still manage to make hundreds of thousands of dollars all from their cells.

This is definitely one of the most motivational video i have seen in a while

i have friends that served time in san quentin and one in death row. Compare to other prison, san quentin is a walk in the park...

The real scary thing is that he was sent down for posting comments and we aren't too far away from that actual scenario.

no its not. never known anybody made to stab someone else at SQ. at least not the whites. you do have to fight sometimes. what is scary is the possibility of a race riot

I cant speak for San Quinton or American prisons really but i know in Australia that in most circumstances when you lace up and go in a cell to fight, more often than not it will end up with someone getting cut or stabbed and if they arent then they are usually beaten to the brink of death.

90% of the things I know I Learnt from the infographics show 🔥🔥🔥🙌

I spent 5 months in solitary confinement in second grade, then 10 months as a 7th grader. I was beaten so bad in 1st grade I ran away from them. I was constantly humiliated and degraded. My "parents" did all of it because I had ADHD, after the 1st beating add PTSD, after the 15 months of solitary add SID (Solitary Isolation Disorder), and I'm dyslexic and they didn't understand or care. As proved by the fact they refuse to have any relationship to this day. I've tried every 5 or 10 years to no avail. I'm 53 now, have never been married, have no children, have extreme difficulty trusting any one and I'm homeless. Thank you so much Virgil and Betty child ABUSERS!

This story is based on so many stereotypes it's amazing. You would be surprised how many snitches there are in prison. Nowadays fellow inmates will snitch on younfor anything in order to reduce their own time.

I’ve heard San Quentin is a prison the people want to go to though because of the various programs they offer. If you haven’t heard of the Ear Hustle Podcast, I highly encourage it. It’s enlightening and very educational.

You realise that there have been football matches played with people's heads in South America? In Altamira prison (Brazil) 57 prisoners were killed during a riot last year. Or Carandiru prison (again Brazil) guards massacred 111 prisoners for....not a lot, during one incident. I could easily go on. There are dozens of prisons in South and Central America, the Middle East, South East Asia, China, Russia, North Korea etc that are "harder" than San Quentin. There are even prisons in the USA that are on a par with San Quentin.

The mind boggles at why this is still done the way that it is. I don't have a better suggestion, not a bullet proof one anyway, but I don't think 'lock em in a box for x number of years' is a very bullet proof plan for anything except making more chances to make your life worse.

Yeah...I remember you! You checked in to PC, and got your stuff taken all the time. I almost felt bad for you, but not really. It was dog eat dog, and you wouldn't even fight back smh.

San Quentin used to be the most dangerous prison back in the day, but due to its outdated design it mostly houses low level inmates now and is used as reception. The house hold name criminals mentioned are on death row and have no contact with other inmates. So while San Quentin at its worst was worse than any other California prison has ever been, it is a relatively lax spot today.

here's the thing. the government only cares about what is and isn't legal when it comes to people who 1. aren't part of the government or 2. aren't rich. that's how they get away with it. they couldn't care less about what happens to us, as long as they benefit from it.

And Charles Manson wasn’t at San Quentin after Ca got rid of the death penalty and when they voted to bring it back they couldn’t change the sentence. So he spent the rest of his life at Corcoran. I know this because my brother-in-law works there and interacted with him regularly for a while (they frequently changed all of the staff Manson interacted with because the state and prison were worried that he would be able to manipulate them into doing things for him)
