Thank you very much for your message. I'm glad to hear your opinion. If you want mine, I'm not sure which tempo makes the most musical sense. I don't have any basis to justify it. That's why I'm asking. I hope more people will respond. Regards!

And I'm glad that you like the slower interpretations.

I would say somewhere in the middle. For dancing it could be a little faster than the slow version (even considering classic tight fitted garments and rather stiff body movements). But with the fast version the ladies might have had respiratory problems. Maybe also the guys 😅

Good comment, thank you. Some say that the minuet should be played "moderately fast and pleasantly." But what tempo is considered moderate? Perhaps a little faster than the slowest version might be most correct. Regards!

Moderate is a tempo where the pettiskirts won't go flying up and we can all wear our powered wigs in dignity, thank you very much.
