A majority of Tony Stewart's sponsorships have suited him well: Home Depot was perfect because Tony seems like a kind of technical/DIY guy. He's someone I could definitely see shopping at Home Depot. Burger King was perfect because Tony is a thicc boi. I wish their partnership lasted longer. Bass Pro Shops was a good fit because Tony seems like an outdoorsman/fisherman.

Kurt never had a DUI. The Maricopa sheriff cited him for wreckless driving and found a BAC of 0.017, well below the legal limit. He was however found guilt of wreckless driving (going 60 in a 45).

I loved the Carl Edwards and Subway sponsorship just because it felt like a perfect fit for both. A super fit youthful guy sponsored by a fast food chain that was trying to give out the image of being healthy and youthful. The decal schemes weren't overly crazy but I just like the match up.

When Travis Pastrana raced with his paint scheme in 2013, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. His generally wild and crazy personality fit with the very odd colored but extremely recognizable paint scheme. One of (if not my favorite) paint schemes of all time.

That Jeff Burton Prilosec OTC purple and white lightning scheme is a sadly forgotten but absolutely badass scheme. Was very happy he got them the 1 win.

Probably my favorite driver-sponsor combo today is Chase Elliott with either Hooters or Little Ceasar’s when they sponsored his car last year for the Talladega Spring race. I really can’t think of a least favorite; I like most of the driver-sponsor combos I’ve seen.

Kurt Busch in the Busch car seems fitting

As cool as Dale Jarrett and UPS partnership was, I always loved the Ford Credit/Quality Care sponsorship more

Always loved Mark Martin’s Viagra schemes. Even though I was too young to know what it was when he was racing them lol. Mark also had a good example of a bad sponsor/driver pairing, imo: the GoDaddy cars he raced at Hendrick. 50-year-old Mark Martin didn’t really fit with the young, sexy vibe GoDaddy seemed to be going for, like when they sponsored Danica Patrick or James Hinchcliffe in Indycar.

Tony Stewart and his iconic orange Home Depot paint scheme during his days at JGR was definitely my favorite. It's definitely eye-catching, and seeing him regularly fighting at the front made that orange car etched to my mind....

I think it's awesome that Chase Elliott is sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts and Hooters since he and the companies are from Atlanta. (And both are former sponsors of the Atlanta championship race.)

Most favourites has to be that Dale Sr.'s black Goodwrench #3 Chevy Monte Carlo; that Interstate Batteries #18 Pontiac Grand Prix by the early 2000's with Bobby Labonte; that Budweiser #8 Chevy Monte Carlo; that Rusty Wallace's black Miller Light #2 Ford Thunderbird; that Rusty Wallace's 2004 blue Miller Light #2 Ford Taurus, and that 2004 Sterling Marlin's silver Coors Light #40 Dodge Charger. Least favourites, well... they'd have to be the 2023 paint schemes with'em numbers glued to the front wheels...

Viagra worked for Mark, a guy known for finishing second and coming up just short when it really mattered _perfectly_ sums up my experience with their product.

The best one is Chase Elliott and Napa, he really fits well, especially in that merchandise commercial.

Carl Edwards and Subway because of their mutual investment in health and fitness, Bass Pro and MTJ because of MTJ's passion for hunting and fishing, are 2 of the most recent examples I can think of. But in my opinion the biggest driver sponsor combo right now, setting the bar for all others, is Harvick and Busch beer. They have made multiple special paint schemes for him, commercials featuring him that play across networks (ie not just during the race).

Busch and M&Ms has become too iconic, the 38 was decent in the 2000s, but he took the M&Ms car and really made it THE dominant car when they put it on the 18

Joey Logano in his early NNS career and Gamestop was a perfect fit, a young talented driver with a sponsor that appeals to the younger generation

Dale earnhardt with good wrench, Dale junior with Budweiser, amp energy drinks, and the National Guard were such good sponsorship livries. I remember as a kid hanging up that National Guard poster of Dale Earnhardt Jr. In my Room and actually thinking about going into the army. Sponsors have a strong influence on people what their favorite drivers. The worst one I've seen has the being nature's bakery with Danica Patrick. Especially because the sponsor pulled out halfway through the year because their own contract screwed them over.

One of the really odd ones to me was Montoya and Depends. I get that they're sold at Target, but you have a million other things to choose from.

Bowyer with 5-Hour-Energy was perfect. Also, Corey LaJoie and Old Spice's one-off was good too. Kyle Busch and Snickers is kinda ironic also

I was always fond of Bill Elliott and the McDonalds car back in the 90's. It somehow just made sense. Also, Low-key makes sense was Tony Stewart and Old Spice.

MTJ and Bass Pro Shops is just a perfect fit.

So many favorites. The black Earnhardt 3, Jr.s Bud 8, The Petty STP. But My least Favorite has to be when Bud went to Kasey Kahne. I can still remember the commercials and i just didn't see him as a beer drinker. He had a wholesome image. That's just my opinion.

Usually what I have always found with sponsors is they get drivers to match their brand. The book "The Unauthorized NASCAR Fan Guide" has a whole chapter about this. For instance, at the time take Terry Labonte and Kellogg's, the liked him because Terry was "A gentleman, friendly and not a loudmouth". Beer sponsors like Miller and Budweiser "they want drivers that run up front but they also want drivers to promote safe drinking and responsible driving" and they also want to reach a demographic, like Dale Jr.'s ad campaign with Budweiser. Then you have drivers that are sponsor magnets like a Michael Waltrip and the NAPA ad blitz, who remembers "I'm at the wrong track!" or "I'm not splitting the money with you!". Michael wasn't the most successful driver outside of plate tracks but he possesses the qualities NAPA wanted, he was funny, articulate and won the Daytona 500 which certainly helped. But NAPA dumped Mikey once Spingate happened and went to Chase Elliott.

Joey loganos regular car is just so iconic and fits and the car fits

Tony Stewart had good partnerships: Home Depot and Old Spice both were both for hardworking men/man’s man. But Tony Stewart was also sponsored by Subway before he left... Yes Mr. “I’m too damn far to be climbing fences” was sponsored by Subway

Jimmie Johnson and Lowe’s or Ally and/or Ross Chastain and Nutrien Ag Solutions or Florida Watermelon Associations.

Jeff Gordon and his Pepsi scheme when I first saw it at Dega 05. I was just getting into NASCAR to. Thought that was the coolest combo. Greg Biffle when National Guard and Post-It use to sponsor him. Those were a good combo

I like the Hooter's sponsorship, especially on Alan Kulwicki's Ford Thunderbird because Alan never married or had a steady girlfriend so he got to do wild photoshoots for Hooters.

I think Big E with GM Goodwrench was brilliant not just for the success they had together but also with how Earnhardt is someone an every man car fanatic could easily identify with from top to bottom. Earnhardt grew up working on his own cars and doing his thing, which fits the spirit of GM Goodwrench. Not to mention, the scheme fit his persona on the track so so so well.

David Gilliland and M&Ms made me a fan. Love the whole family. Go DGR crossly and Todd with FRM

A weird combo (albeit short lived) was Kasey Kahne and Budweiser. Kahne looked way too young to be having a Bud and Budweiser should have stuck with Earnhardt when he moved to Hendrick.

The Coors sponsor and the #40 car are my favorite cars. From R. Gordon To Sterling Marlin. Sexy looking cars. Kyle Pettys Mello Yellow and Hot Wheels cars look good. How can anyone forget about Target and Chip Ganassi Racing. Nice looking cars from Indycar to Nascar with the Target sponsorship.

Brad K with Miller Lite is perfect, just watch 2012 championship celebration. Hamlin and FedEx continues to work. I think if Erik Jones' nickname becomes The Handy Man, all his tool sponsors can work. Martin Truex Jr and Bass Pro is another perfect fit. Kurt Busch and Monster Energy. Kevin Harvick and Jimmy Johns is one last one that comes to mind.

Jeff Burton's Cingular car was my favorite.

Dale Earnhardt and GM Goodwrench were a combo that was lethal because GM and that brand pertained to the hardworking man. Junior switched from Budweiser to Mountain Dew at Hendrick because the beverage pertains to the younger generation of Junior Nation and it has gained notoriety with Chase Elliott. Martin Truex Jr./Bass Pro Shops fits because Truex is an avid fisherman. Denny Hamlin/FedEx work because he delivers. There really is no favorite for me, but the biggest bust was Logano/Home Depot because with Gibbs he really needed improvement and he was not at home with the Home Depot.

Dale Jarret and UPS. The Big brown truck. Come on, guys!
