I used to have this problem. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit showed how to bless and forgive those who had wronged me. It was very empowering and even led to the healing of a relationship with a member of my family. I am now very quick to forgive, as much as I know how. Once I understood the concept from the Holy Spirit, I started deliberately using blessing and forgiveness like a weapon against the enemy to free myself from any hurt, resentment, offence, unforgivenness, or grudge of any kind.

The price of the SIN of unforgiveness is too terrible a burden to carry. I have seen a woman suffer of cancer for 16 years because of this. Immediately she forgave in her heart , 2 days later the cancer disappeared! It was a demonic stronghold.

Honour your parents if they deserve it my parents were evil abusers and I won’t honour abusers..that’s how I feel about it…my father died of cancer a few years ago my mother is still alive but I don’t have any contact and I’m okay with that I have to keep my distance and have boundaries to protect myself…I have good relationships with my brother and sister..but that’s the way it’s going to stay. We must stay away from harmful people including family. Thanks for sharing this anyway I’ll consider what you have said. It will take a long time for me to let go of the anger in me but I’ll work on it.

A parent who is has turned into your spiritual enemy; rejects Jesus Christ, uses witch doctors against you, and a staunch member of a cult. No way I am honoring that person, I go to spiritual war, why should I honor someone who had chosen to go to hell, someone who has made a covenant with darkness and working against me. (My mother)

@Carol Mcloughlin, HI, I understand how you feel my mother has hated me from day one and continues to this day (abuse was how she treated me). My father never ever took responsibility for the many children he fathered. He died with only his brother by his side. All of my adult life I wanted and felt I needed my parent's love. Don't get me wrong parents are supposed to love their children unconditionally but the problem with that is we are broken people who don't know how to love until we are born-again Christians and God pours His love in us through His Only Begotten Son the LORD Jesus Christ. People tend to believe and this (includes Christians) that somehow our sin (s) isn't as bad as the next person's (including parents) but the Bible teaches differently Isaiah 53: 6 All like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity (rebellion) of us all. Romans 3:23 for we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory (standard) of God. I had to learn through years of hardship that my parents could not give me the love I need and wanted and that love has only come through my continual relationship with God through the LORD Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit. I am by no means belittling what you have been through/experienced. I know it's not easy letting the pain, hurt, and rejection go. But it is the LOVE I receive from God daily that keeps me forgiving and knowing that if I do not forgive He will not forgive me. Talk to God about it He hears you and He cares. I hope this helps.

At the end of the day, you wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for these people. You may not have contact with them but that doesn't mean you shouldn't ask the Lord to forgive them. This could be honouring them, simply praying for them and asking God not to hold whatever it is they have done to you against you, because otherwise you will not be forgiven. God doesn't say honour parents who deserve it, he said honour parents. Take your troubles to the Lord my sister. David said in the psalms when his parents forsook him the Lord was there for him ❤

I hate abusive people..but karma got them and I actually don't care about them now.. trying to heal myself through councelling.. I don't miss any of them..but they want me to do certain things for them at the moment but I blocked them 😂 they're getting the message.. but thanks for your comment.. they were never good parents.. they neglected my basic needs for years there's no going back.

@@JackPickford-sv4hz To be fair, she said, one of her parents are dead, so it would be sinful to pray for forgiveness for that deceased parent. Someone that is dead, has already been judged and who are we to pray for the dead as the Bible warns us against this. true biblical repentance is like the parable of the prodigal son. When God forgives, it’s like it never even happened so if we can’t do that, it’s not actual true forgiveness. It’s more or less of letting go of hate, but not welcoming an abusive person back. Wish there was another word in English to describe of letting go of something that someone has done to you. Besides the word forgiveness. Remember forgiveness from God‘s perspective is that it never happened and he fully embraces you and welcomes you back that’s true forgiveness.

❤️Genesis 12:3 ❤ Matthew 25 31-46❤ ✝️ speak of scriptures as being this or that as a salvation issue, here Jesus made this a salvation issue Himself in Matthew 25:31-46. 😊No teasing out scriptures or extrapolations needed, it's as plain as the Sun shine😊. Jesus made this a salvation issue in Matthew 25:31-46, and before He returns I'd recommend the same. ❤God bless you on your journey❤

Please Christians and others, don’t pass over unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is a plague. Please forgive, this message is so very important and a lot of people gloss over it. Christians will say “GOD will judge them” or “vengeance is the Lord’s” or some other saying, that’s not forgiveness. Please forgive them truly for the sake of your soul. If you are having trouble forgiving them, just say the words that you forgive them, speak forgiveness into your life, and pray to GOD to let you forgive others as He has forgiven you.

Matthew 23:23 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have OMITTED THE WEIGHTIER MATTERS OF THE LAW, *JUDGEMENT*, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, AND NOT TO LEAVE THE OTHER UNDONE. There wouldn't be so much unforgiveness if the church would teach just as much or more on NOT sinning against others in the first place. America, and effectually the world, has a terrible SIN problem that affects innocent others all because ministries refuse to "cry aloud against the sins of the people." So you have hordes of insane and demon possessed people who think "Jesus loves everybody" all because YOU WON'T PREACH EVERYTHING CHRIST TAUGHT. People have been irreparably injured by psycho demoniacs, and all they ever hear is they need to "love and forgive"? That is foolishness and a misapplication of God's words. For instance king David prayed some pretty abrasive prayers. Absolutely nothing wrong with seeking God's vengeance against ENEMIES. People who intentionally, recklessly, and incessantly are attacking you and those you love. Defending oneself against demon possessed, delusional, law-breaking lunatics is NOT sin. But calling profane things holy and holy things profane is. So is "condemning the just, and justifying the wicked", because "both are an ABOMINATION to God."

Daddy issues lead to Issues with God and the holy spirit. 😢😮😅 Statues of limitation makes this worse!
