He started a nasty chain of events that has lead to death of many people and destruction of lives of others, all for what? For a nasty win for his nasty party. Now here he is in 2020, no one cares about him anymore as death lurks around him and he lives everyday in fear of what would happen to him after his death when the blunt of his bad deeds will hit him back. Everyone should live their life committing as many good deeds as possible so that when they are old death shouldn't be a dread for them but rather something which they can embrace.

You can't give proof whether Jesus Christ existed or not, Quran is the book of words from god, birthplace of lord Ram etc. If billions of people believe that lord Ram was born in Ayodhya that's it. If you decided to go to the court then it was confirmed that faith of the heighest no. of people will be upheld. It's not just the law of India it's the same in all democratic constitutions. Btw there are proofs (ASI) for the existence of a mandir before the masjid was built.

The act of demolition of the scandalous structure called Babri Masjid strengthened national unity and identified the anti-national forces. This structure should have been removed immediately after attainment of independence. There are other shameful structures yet to be removed. Points well made by advani ji and I really appreciate the journalist here that he he asked simple, straight forward, strict yet unbiased questions without any shout of his own personal agenda entering the conversation. Unlike the anchors and journalists of todays time who are biased and disrespectfull.

A man wherever he takes his Raath Yatra humanity dies there and such person is conferred with Bharat Ratna. Sadly Bharat Ratna goes to a violent, communal person which is an embarrassment for such renowned medal.

It would be interesting to hear Mr. Advani’s view today on this subject! I wish Mr Roy does another interview

I think in the interview, his connection to his ideological thinking/personal roots was in questioning more than political or constitutional. So him saying about Sangh, is appropriate, I think. Not sure. He should've talked about his constitutional responsibility but then it's only a clip. There could be more in the full interview.

Either you are an absolute idiot or just plain and simple naive. Agreeing to construction is nothing to do with demolishing. There is a wrong way to do it and the right way to do it. The right way is to have a dialogue agree upon a mutually agreeable agenda or fight in the courts which they did not. The wrong way is to demolish the structure and demand reconstruction. Advani was FOR the construction of the temple but he was NOT OK with the means by which the mob tried to achieve it.

The demolition of Babri is the incident which changed the face of india completely interms of communal violence that happens even today and also rise of terrorism . we will suffer more 100 years for sure

Does anybody have a link to the full interview? Very good and frank interview. Never knew Advani said this publically that he regretted that Babri Demolition happened. What went wrong from his perspective. It's nice to see people do nice things. I don't think people in the comments are doing the right thing by being angry at him excessively. If you can see him, he is feeling ashamed, guilty. Don't be angry at a person who has the ability and courage to admit what really happened. Isn't it people's hypocrisy that they want the change and also want to be vengeful to the same person? Should he be jailed for his crime? Yes-----if his involvement is really there. 1. Yes, people who were really involved should be jailed. 2. How do we test involvement? Let the court do its work. Release documentary of some kind. That's the best I or anybody can say. Courts can fail us. Make people aware of that. Let the moral jail of society go to work. Yes, it is sad on the court's part if it didn't work properly and puts a lot of burden on people. If people can see and understand through some documentary or interviews like these that something happened here. Interviews like these are a relief to see that people who were present there have some remorse about what happened. Demolition was bad, that's for sure. Someone going to jail would have been the best we could've hoped for. I am not aware/informed if someone did really go to jail I admit that. A certain level of strictness towards him is ok. Calling him a hypocrite is ok because he is when he cites the RSS values without recognizing the pitfalls that those kinds of thinking lead us to. I feel like people are not being angry with ALL root issues but I might be wrong. Can we at least appreciate something good that comes out of this interview? Good like it makes us aware. Good interviews like these are so scarce. We should criticize and also appreciate things. If we refuse to look at the complete picture, how are we different from Advani's hypocrisy? It isn't Advani's responsibility alone. As we know he is a hypocrite. Where were people who left their responsibility to protect the thing? putting 100% blame one person is wrong. RSS ideology. Advani, and people like him, people who hated the mosque and Muslims who shouldn't be hated (hating is bad in the first place, even if a Muslim man does something bad to me personally. I can be angry and have a complaint against a Muslim man but I am wrong if I hate). Good people leaving their responsibility. Be angry at things that are wrong. People crossed the lines which shouldn't have been.

Never heard this interview before.. but I am amazed it confronted the issue..and admitting it went off balance somewhere.. he faced the people of India.

It was a costruction only not a mosque 🙏

This criminal case need to go to supreme court, the cbi court has just said that it was not pre-planned, this doesn't answer the question if they are responsible for heading this movement

Advani was a politician giving interview on national TV. So He had to condemn it publically. However, there is not question that he and others were happy like every other hardcode Hindu to see the structure demolished and get the temple back after 550 years of oppression. Ram Mandir is to Hindus to what Mecca is to Muslims. Imagine if Hindus would have forcefully taken Mecca and Muslims get it back by force, will it be a bad thing. Of course not ! That is common sense. Do not steel anyone's prized possession.

Also let's free our temples from government taxation and establish gurukuls for educating our children.
