Is that a lucky grocery store? I remember one being right across the street from the apartments that w lived at back in 1989-1991. How i miss those times. I remember when walking in the the store i could smell the milk right when i entered the store directly to my right. I must confess when i go to the grocery store here in texas i go to the milk aile and just close my eyes and smell. Is that weird? If it is thenoh well lol. Love your vidoes.

I was 15 in 1997 alot of milestones hit that year. It was fun living in northern cali back in that day seemed like simpler times where all we worried about as teens was class,sports,girls, and getting the latest hip hop CD at Sam goody in the mall good ole days...

I was only 4 in 1997 so I dont remember much but the box tvs and the cars bring that nostalgic feeling back. Growing up in the 90s was a blessing when school and education weren't a Joke and society was educated nowadays generation is messed up it's concerning how many kids and teens can't read, write or drop out or end up becoming gangsters and drug dealers.

Seems so primitive back then, but yet simple. 1997, I was joining the Navy then, honestly I wish I could of enjoyed the last few years of the 90's with my friends, I was in a hurry to get on with life, young and dumb I was. Can't buy memories. Awesome footage btw, great you were thinking ahead of everyone else, actually preserving history. 90's was the best decade being a kid in my opinion.

In 97 I lived on Amar and Azusa, I had just had my first kid and I was stationed in camp Pendleton,. I was 19. GIL saw the importance of preserving the moments and the places that matter, although we've had completely different lives he fortunately has lived in the areas I lived , I now live in Rialto . We don't see the changes we make and the progress the world around us makes on a day to day, makes me nostalgic. 😔😔

I was in 8th Grade in 1997

I was 5 life was a hell of a lot better then than now before the internet and everything took over

I lived near Corona elementary around this time, I long for the past so much. I cant tell how much your footage means to me, I grew up with my Dad taking me all over the ie as a kid. He passed away in 2003 Childhood just goes by so fast, use to be a dairy queen and a drive thru liquor near the cemetery off mountain. I would walk to the neighborhood store off state and cucamonga as young as 4 or 5 years old. Thanks again.

It was a windstorm that hit 1/5/97, remember it hit in the middle of the night. It hit a windstorm that the San Gabriel, West Covina, Pomona and O.C foothills had 60 mph winds.

His video editing skills are also from 1997.

How do you know if you were't born? it was just as hard then as it is now, the only saving grace was we didin't have smart phones and computers dominating our lives but that is something you know nothing about because cell phones and computers have been around all your life so it's all that you know.

The buildings look the same still but everything else is different
