We'll cover these questions in the video, and help you better understand how straps are sold, and what size you require whether it be a leather strap, or metal bracelet.

Great video. Being a small guy (5ft8 / 1m73) with a 6.3" / 16cm wrist, I chose to forget about the usual 120/80mm or 110/80mm straps (Seiko Sarb065 even comes with a 130/60mm strap) and got myself a 110/70mm Hirsch Boston strap. Put it on a butterfly clasp without a push button, and... it is just perfect.

Yes, this is all true. I find a need a strap of about 90mm plus 120mm, giving a total of 210mm, but with the extra length on the buckle end so that it sits under my wrist and not off towards the side of my wrist. This I have learnt by frustrating trial and error.

This is actual for simple buckles but when you try to fit the same strap on deployment buckle and there is lots of types in this deployment category, you may have problems so it's best to have a cheep stap or old one, measure it and get a custom made one in best case or a standard one if it's possible.

I have an XL wrist (225mm) and most supplied strap and bracelets max out at about 220mm. Ergo, I always have to replace the bracelet or strap. It is important, when buying the strap, to estimate the hole you want to use because it does not look good to use the end holes. The distance from the end to the middle hole can be ascertained from the website pictures but if not I just use +35-45mm which is often the length between the watchcase lugs.

well it kind of makes sense.. people are getting fatter so everyone has to adjust the "normal/regular/medium" size. today a "medium" is a "long" in the past. it's exactly to be experienced in the clothing industry. if you have been wearing M in shirts and be in the optimal body weight and shape you have to buy S now. it's so stupid but the companies are saying that it's also a trick for the mind of the customer. You are overweight, but are wearing clothes in L (XL in the past) so you think everything is fine with you because you aren't a size XL and so at the end you are not considered FAT.. shit world we live in.
