shinie bm0619 what now? That's a stupid analogy, I couldn't think a single reason to support that Philippines won't exist without Filipinos. In the first place nature makes itself, from eruption of volcanoes that creates extends landmass, earthquakes that can separate 1 big island into 2 and the list go on, it's not the Filipinos who creates the Philippines my gosh. If you think it won't exist because it wasn't explored/discovered or it won't exist to whole world by it's name "the Philippines" without the Filipinos then have fun with your delusions. If you dare, kindly care to expound how so the Philippines won't exist without the Filipinos, hmnnm? 😅

Aww, the Korean girl in blue made me cry. :( It's heartwarming to hear that we shouldn't look down on ourselves especially from a foreigner. I think we Filipinos tend to do that but are very unaware of it. It's crazy how some foreigners understand us more than we do ourselves. We need to think more like her and be appreciative of our culture, as well as one another since we put down our fellow Filipinos quite often and it's heartbreaking. Crab mentality has ruined us. We need to change our mindsets. Thank you so much for creating this video btw, it really means a lot to us.

It’s a shame that most comments address heavily on the accent. Born and raised in the Philippines, my parents being educators never did teach me anything about the American or British english, did not even know that existed when I was a kid. My father was a professor and my mom was an elementary school teacher, emphasized mastery of the English language via PHONETICS and comprehension. Sentence structure and depth of the thought put into the construction of the conversation. Accent is too irrelevant and superficial to even matter. i have been winning essay writing contests since 4th grade and could write English compositions and earn grades of AAA+++ at an American University when I eventually moved to the US. Please count your blessings and be thankful that the Americans gave us the most precious gift of being almost bilingual since birth. So please stop focusing on the accent and dwell on the gift of being able to speak English in the level that we do. We are as much the best English speaker amongst natural born English speakers in the world so count yourselves lucky and stop complaining. I don’t think these Koreans who grew up in the Philippines care about the accent, one girl even stated that WE EXCEL in English.

Seeking validation - this is one of the biggest problems Filipinos have. We have such an amazing land with many great talents, but we don’t see them as worthy unless foreigners notice it.

We don’t appreciate the beauty of our own skin color when other people really like our skin color. We should learn to love our skin color and love our country first before looking for validation from others

Nakakabahala din talaga as a Filipino. Sana magising sila sa katotohanan na love your own and never sila magiging Korean. Wala namang masama kung mahalin nila yung Korea and the culture pero the key here is dapat may self control sila and mas mahalin pa rin sana nila ang Pinas and i embrace nila pagiging Pilipino.

That is the difference with Filipinos and other asian countries- especially east asians like Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese. They never looked at foreigners and westerners as above them. In their heads magakakapantay lang sila. That is pride and self worth!

I'm not into K-Pop, I still prefer our music but I am sooo addicted with KDramas simply because KDramas are consistent to the story concept or the plot of the story. The pacing is fast, it's direct to the point unlike Filipino dramas it's so frustrating. It would start like just a super light romantic comedy and then towards the middle it becomes brutal and in the end there's already kidnapping and murdering of the protagonist. Like what the f.. 😞 That's something I wanted for Filipino writers and directors to achieve in making dramas here in the Philippines.

Now, I just watch the news because that's the only thing that is interesting to watch.

I always think of this issue whenever i ride jeepney. The jeepney would wait for passengers for half an hour and would stop in every corner of the narrow pathways. I know the drivers want to save gasoline and earn more from getting more passengers but its really time-consuming. Also, if you whine about it, the driver would just tell you "Go get a taxi if you are in a hurry". We are known for giving excellent service to foreign employers but we cant even maintain that in our local services. I always observe this. Hahaha

Yes traffic in Manila is so terrible unlike in Korea, they have 6 line subways interconnecting with each other and their Public toilets are clean and high Tech, I noticed it when I had my trip to Korea last summer. Well, any way we are 3 world country, so you have to expect that. And in the store, if you buy plenty, the store owner will give you freebies. When we asked for direction, we have to ask the young ones, and they conversed in English, but for the elderly we have to do sign language and we ended up laughing. I like the way when you said F-pop, yes we can sing well and we can dance well but I wonder why these young generation so attracted to k-pop when I saw their dance steps just simple as in simple, but because they are"idolizing" them they are in.

I love Korean dramas, culture, and everything. I'm really impressed whenever I watch how hard working they are and their self control is no joke. But I don't wanna live in Korea, I can't live like that cause I'm very LAZY,hehe..

I really like this video, it's like a wake up call to all filipinos(k-pop fans) . Don't not belittle ourselves but be proud for who we are. And be proud to the music we produce. We must discipline ourselves para sa kaunlarana ng ating bansa...we can do this!!

I hope that the people in this video has a chance to read this. First of all, I'm a Filipino by heritage born and raised in the States, it took me 40 years before visiting the home of my forefathers of which is the Philippines. After my first visit I've tried to learn all I could about the culture and language as well as the geography and regional dialects of the people. I love the Philippines and wish I could spend more time there because most of the Filipino people are so humble and inspirational in the fact that nothing is taken for granted. People from all walks of life have something to take from this video, because it doesn't matter where we come from or what our ethnicity maybe, we can all coexist without exploiting the less fortunate. By the way everyone in this video spoke English very well. Language is the ability to communicate with one another in what ever means it takes. However without violence I hope, lol. Thank you for sharing this video and a big thumbs up!!!
