@ode7448 Caroline Wanjiku Kihato is a Kenyan inventor and entrepreneur. She is the inventor of a urine-powered generator. Her invention has helped to provide a sustainable and affordable source of electricity for people in rural areas of Kenya Roy Allela: Sign-IO has the potential to revolutionize communication for sign language speakers. The invention comes out of Kenya by Roy Allela and essentially translates sign language into speech in real time. This is done by wearing a glove with hardware that can detect hand movements. The glove is connected to an app which conducts the translations using an internal database based on the American Sign Language (ASL). Users can set tempo, pitch, and gender of the voice that represents them. The idea is to make communication easier for ASL speakers to navigate in a world that mostly does not understand sign language. I mean there are hundreds of other inventions, contributions etc I can post, but doing even just basic research can provide you with that. Albeit you are probably trolling and believe all of Africa is one super culture and not diverse with many individuals, fields and contributions. Nigeria's overseas student programs excel in American and European schools mind you.

As a guest of US Civil rights Organizer , Charles Cobb Jr. Kenya's Independence VP Oginga Odinga was once arrested in Atlanta while in Atlanta protesting against Black discrimination together with 17 other SNCC students . Yes all very true. Ironic that many of the people interviewed think that African Americans live privileged lives in a white majority country. We have to fight tooth and nail for every privilege though. There has always been cross continental support for each other. My grandfather went to HBCU Lincoln University with Kwame Nkrumah. The first Presidents of Malawi and Nigeria also attended school there. This "diaspora war" nonsense is a relatively new convention that is ruled by social media content creators and their desire to monetize their channels.

The other Sister that said she never met a Black American was with all the colors on was extremely Beautiful as well 😂 From what i see, for most part Kenyans respect us! I respect the one's on board with us too! For the confused Kenyans opinions about us, homework need to be done 😂 We are not like what ppl think of us being "white" or kissing white ppls butts 😂 We African Americans know our ENEMY. Africans have to understand we didn't ask to be kidnapped 400 years ago. No one from Africa came to save us 😂 We been here with white ppl since slavery! Why do ppl get mad at us being "westernIZED?" 😂 We was NEVER rescued, so how we talk and act, Africans should understand our position 😂 I salutes the Africans that gave us our credit. Yall us, and we are yall! We are just seperate by Culture and Slavery! Our blood is the same 😂 We DO have extra things in us dna-wise 😂 but what we are most made of IS AFRICAN! Trust me, African/Black Americans HATE we have white in us. Myself, i have 19% European but the bulk of me is Nigerian/Igbo 40.4% being my highest of all. I got Fula, Wolof, and Bantu. Salutes Family! ❤👌🏾

I totally agree with the gentleman who sees the difference in how we treat each other as oppose to how we treat caucasians. I have had several encounters with Africans (unsure of origin) and it was just heightened disrespect, while the caucasian person was acknowledged,....I almost felt invisible. One lady even went as far to tell me that 'we' don't share the same blood, gasping in disbelief, she further stated that I was born into slavery and that my bloodline was tainted. I met a beautiful Ghanaian lady in the same atmosphere, she restored my faith in never to let the ignorance of those small percentage depict the majority. I LOVE MY PEOPLE, which is why I am sharing this because just those encounter though a small percentage can be the gap that causes discord in UNITY. Keep probing the minds and having honest dialogues by way of what you do. Shalom.

This was very surprising, honest and refreshing. There are long-standing myths that there is beef between Black Americans and Africans, but Im hopeful the gap can be "super glued" closed and we respectfully learn to accept each others differences and bond in our similarities. Im headed back to Nigeria in May 2024(visited last May until July), I loved the food, culture and people and I happily met a great guy. We are planning our wedding for December 2024!

One way we can definitely try to bridge the gap is by educating each other about misconceptions, misunderstandings or wrong assumptions the other party might bear. The diverse opinions here show that they have not been exposed to the same material or that each person has drawn their own personal conclusion. Maybe next time you should ask what they think AA's might have wrong about Africans and also what they think they may have learnt about AA's and they think it might also be wrong.

Nice channel. As a Kenyan, living in the states, I do believe we sit on the the shoulders of African Americans as far as breaking barriers here; we would never work in the corporate world as seamlessly for one. How about exploring what African Americans have done with Kenyans in the past. Thurgood Marshall was one of the authors of the original Kenyan constitution. I have many African American friends and they are diverse in character as Kenyans are. If we approach each other with mutual respect first collaborations would follow.

I was raised to be connected to "The Culture", which is spread throughout the Diaspora and Motherland. I refer to myself as an African-American. My culture is Black [which incorporates Southern & Northern Blacks in the United States, I am also a Midwesterner from a big city that loves all [well almost all] things Black from a Gen X perspective. Most people from the African Diaspora in America are of many tribes from Africa. The mixing of tribes from different countries was done intentionally so they could not communicate. Because I am a mixture of more than five countries from the continent of Africa, [my ancestry is African [Nigeria 🇳🇬 Mali 🇲🇱, Cameroon 🇨🇲, Congo 🇨🇩, Western Bantu People, Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, Ghana 🇬🇭 Benin/Togo 🇧🇯 🇹🇬, and Senegal 🇸🇳, (and unfortunately due to enslavement yt s.m.)]; African-American encompasses them all. At the time when many leaders wanted a better identity in this country other than a color, [because Black is a culture in America, and not an ethnicity, in the 90s African-American term became more widely used. At that time we didn't have a way to know our roots due to enslavement. Now that we can with DNA most African-Americans are of mixed ethnicities from African and European countries. Due to enslavement the European part was usually not by choice...🧐. I was born in America as was my line which goes at least five to six generations back on both sides in America. But my heart will always beat for Mother Africa. Be well all. ❤️𓂀 🤲🏿🧘🏾‍♀️🕉🙏🏾𓉢🖤

The Nigerian guy impressed me, his accent has become 100% Kenyan, i don't know how that happened in only five years he has been in Kenya.. A lot of education is required to de-indoctrinate Africans and African Americans alike, who have let the images of each other propagated by Western media propaganda influence and inform their views of their brothers and sisters. We are the same, save for where and who we grew up with, and in my experience, where you grow up largely determines the path of your life as an adult.
