I know the feeling, my parents are catholic as well but not so catholic, we support the LGBTQ+ and all that stuff, and my sister and I are in our 20’s and our mother still tries to control us, well mostly me because I’m the youngest one but still, I shouldn’t have my parents controlling me or my sister whether we live with them still or not.

Addressing the upbringing thing… “restriction leads to obsession” just like a kid that’s not allowed to eat candy, they’ll find a way to consume it secretly or have a rampage when they’re older
I love this episode! especially the fact that you both are able to not only be able to be together in the same room, talking to each other, and enjoying each other's company but also to be able to get along and not fight like you guys used to back in 2015 and I feel like you both have grown up and matured. I also feel like you guys have actually been working on your relationship with each other as sisters and friends. I am so proud and happy for you both! as always liysm you're number one fan VeVe! 💖

My mom is 100% Cuban as well and she never allowed sleep over's or going over to friends house unless she tagged along. I get it now as an adult, she didn't trust just anyone around her child which makes perfect sense lol. She was super strict when I was a teen but now she's very laid back.

I had the chill parents. I would never go back to high school. That place caused severe depression for me. I wasn't really rebellious I just wanted to be at home and that's never changed. My home was and still is my happy place.

This has made me love gabi so much moreeeee 😂😂😂😂 I love thisssss. Thank you guys so much for doing this. I’m 33 with a 14 & 7 year old and I’m like an on the fence parent I try to be strict but I feel guilty and end up letting them do things and try and trust them because I want them to know that I’m their safe space regardless. This has really brought a perspective even tho my mom was strict but I was brought up in a low income life and it was definitely different but i rebelled too
I appreciate you both for giving us these little glimpses into your development. Love you girlies 💖

I remember watching a high school life hack from Niki and Gabi talking about THE Skirt trick
I absolutely loved this podcast! Please bring out more episodes💕
I had strict parents. I even went to private school, where my dad taught Bible. I never was a partier, but I had a little Ho phase. Lol. From like 22-26 I was on dating apps, hooking up with whomever i could. Thank God I never ended up pregnant. But I was the stereotypical pastor's kid. I even worked, still work, at a Christian college.
My parents weren’t too strict but they would go mad at me without telling me what I’d actually done, if I questioned it, it was always “because I said so” or a slap. I rebelled as a teenager in my “emo” phase but I rarely intentionally disrespected them. I’m 25, I often smoke a j with my dad, he was more rebellious than I was as a teenager 😅
Love hearing you guys be so candid, relating to you both so much more with this recent content
You should do college stories next!!
I seriously think you guys should make a movie or KZread movie about your teen life coz this is eye opening. Especially the fact that you are twins, it would give a different perspective to teen life
usually i hate podcasts but this, i really relate to, i’m still 15 and in my “rebellious” era with a fuck it mindset and everything about the parents, clothes, school, mental health, i’ve never felt so like seen and i feel better knowing im not the only one who’s went through this or going through it rn. i love you guys so much like you guys are my literal childhood like ive been watching you guys ever since your first vids came out, i love you guys and i fr hope your lives go well because you really deserve it 💗💗💖💖
The more I watch you the more I realize how similar our upbringings were. I also wasn’t allowed to have sleepovers as a kid! I finally was able to in high school though I went to my friends house and slept over nearly every weekend lol.

This was so insightful 💕
Loved the episode but I just wished you also put a disclaimer saying it’s okay not to want to party, or try EVERYTHING because maybe your younger audition will look at your like role models and feel like they have to try this and that because you did ☺️ but loved that you still put disclaimers about being safe

Wtf 🤦🏽♀️…how come I didn’t think to do that in school?? I’m so mad I wasn’t smart enough to think about that Gabi. I’ve always had a hard time retaining information and can totally relate to Niki about studying for hours and not eating and literally making yourself sick. I wish I thought like Gabi! 😂
You did have that adolescence tho. You partied more than most.
The life-hack video got me through my charter school 😫 All the back to school videos were not uniforms so that one helped me 🥲
Definitely can relate to not having an emotional available parent because I’m 24 now & my mom is still emotionally unavailable now and it’s frustrating asf because I want to have a bond with her but it’s truly difficult when she’s not emotionally available to try to grow a bond as a now adult 💯
