It also extends to his eyelid cheek muscles and eyebrows. Around 0.40 as he's talking.His whole face is emoting Asymmetrically with his right side showing little if no movement. Seems like a nice guy i'm sure it doesn't bother him to much. Hafþór Björnsson and a few other well known people also have this condition.

DMT and Psychedelics in general have done what hundreds of hours of PTSD therapy couldn't. I went from being on 31 pill daily for mental states to 0 over the course of 13 weeks. Like everything in the world. It's not for everyone and experiences will certainly vary. Me and my friends approached it from a lens of healing and learning and it's exactly what we got out of it. Thanks to dr_xzavier.

I may have misinterpreted your point so if I did I apologize, but are "most" of these drugs you speak of produced in the human body like DMT? That's why the experience is only 5-10 minutes because the body recognizes the safe and familiar compound and knows exactly what to do with it. I'm not saying smoking DMT like it's crack is mentally healthy, but it's hardly fair to even call it a "drug" and lump it in with all the other bullshit associated with that word. The word drug has a very strong connotation in this culture we should use it with discretion. From my experience and what I've heard from others DMT is more of a technology of some sort masquerading as a drug, because the implications of what it really is might split all the atoms in our brain at once x)

Shane Cooper I'm referring to any drug made externally that's consumed, intentionally or not. Even ibuprofen can screw your liver. Even DMT (and most if not all psychedelics) can send you into psychosis. Even though these are extremely safe when compared to crack cocaine or fentanyl they can still damage you and can even be addictive, though I doubt either could EVER reach epidemic levels. Basically I'm saying all drugs you can take can screw you up to an extent, but I think when people see someone messed up or even just acting a little unusual and jump to the conclusion "must be DRuGZ!!" to explain their behavior is screwed up and usually hypocritical.

And trust me, I and every one of those people I know who have lost it were all the same as you all our lives, acting as if it’s mental work outs we’re doing and not facing the fact that it’s introducing your brain to insanity and often times people don’t fully come back to reality, even if they may seem and/feel as though they have. Any drug that becomes abused or used to the near extreme will mess you up, no matter what it is, weed, coke, psychs, doesnt matter, an abuse will have repercussions later on and you may not realize it. For this case, I wouldnt say his disease was caused by it, and he still seems like he has a grip on things, I honestly think hes tripping while they were filming this.

One common trait amongst DMT use is the visualisation of these grand columns that seem to span off into infinity in every direction. I've seen this depicted in a few different art forms from people who have used DMT. It's interesting to me that there are certain themes within the experience that are shared amongst people despite how strange the experience is.

Bless him, I feel like he’s a really kind soul.
Dude does look crazy. He seems like a cross between a shaman (without the healing aspect) and an artist. He is going outside of what society considers normal and trying to bring back relics to share with the world. Sure he might look like he needs a month of sleep but maybe he's also devoted to the art and just simply loves DMT. Its very easy to judge this guy but he seems to have a good heart. I hope he is ok though. Also mad props to the editors at Vice for animating his paintings and art and bringing them to life.

I think he has done a lot of DMT before becoming like that, not just one time. And the substance isn't physically addictive so it's well in your hands how far you take it. You'll run some risk of having a negative experience (which could in rare cases even be traumatizing) and it's up to you if it's worth it. Personally I've never tried it, but I have tried milder psychedelics, and it's probably better to first explore the mindspace of shrooms or acid before trying DMT. In any case, inform yourself well before taking any psychoactive substance, legal or not.

You have to consider what he would be like without dmt and I believe it to be a shell of who he is here. I’d bet it unlocked a lot of potential for him. More people should try it and you’d understand why he can’t describe it all too much.

When I did DMT I entered many rooms and layers of different entities and even rooms for bugs it was so strange cause I got the feeling after everything dies their presented their death layer and theirs rooms for everything I remember going into one where it was for an alien out of this world and the artifacts and their beliefs where all collected into one room I got the feeling I shouldn’t be seeing this but I was invited cause they wanted to show me how vast life was and that everything is connected and nothing is truly alien it’s just a construct and beyond all of that was a city where all souls go back home and every thing their is so inviting they said where do you wanna go and experience next we will reincarnate your soul into a different soul mission kinda just made me feel like I could be whatever I want whenever I want it’s just all an experience for fun and you shouldn’t ever be scared everything is a game

That's deep. A lot of the Hindu mystics and yogis speak very similar things. In fact the entire concept of reincarnation is this, the concept of Maya (the great illusion) and the idea that when we achieve liberation, we are no longer bound to be here, we become free to be whatever we are when we're not here, all the time, or to be here as well.
In all my substance worshipping years did I EVER find a person more off their nut than this guy. But he's harmless. Robert. Hopefully you are reading this. Your art is incredible. I would like to see your work without reflection of DMT. Your art in the psychedelics is incredible. Can you show us some of your work without? Really unique work.
Through years of meditation and spiritual practices I am able to recognize a lot of these things he is talking about. Being able to sort of connect to your inner sources can be very lightening and relieving. I'm glad I never did psycho active drugs but I'm glad spiritual growth becomes more part of daily pop culture. It is so important and can help healing damage we are suffering from, also as a society.

So. Thing is, when youre actually on dmt youre physically not capable of actually drawing or taking notes until you "awaken" and have control over your body again. So imagine tripping for a few minutes, having these intense visuals only to wake up in your room (or other setting) and having to actually TRY and draw what you saw. I wish a graphic design artist and video editor would get together and try to replicate almost exactly what it feels like to be on dmt. The substance is genrally unheard of, even in well educated communities around the world and its so harmless as well. Vice, if you read this, please give my idea a go!

Laszlo Official in my case, it was accidental ingestion. Smoked a bowl from a pipe I let my buddy use, and thinking he cleaned it afterwards, I was all about it. Took a hit, held it and it felt..off. Burned more than usual. Looked down the hallway after I exhaled and a slight buzzing started, the floor of the hallway then titled 45 degrees, and then everything was good. Went outside, smoked a cig and looked at the grass while it was boiling.
