I didn’t realize how quick the 500 E was for its time until I saw the Hagerty drag race.
The older merc’s are indeed easy to figure out how to place on the road. On my W202 looking in the center of the hood ornament was the exact position of the outer passenger side.
Such a dream! Love it!

I had an R129 SL500 which basically shared the shame chassis, mine had later version of the same engine. 32 valve NA V8, a solid , smooth and wonderful engine.
Audrain giving this channel collector class credibility and I like the nuanced details. The Benz Brethren approve.
I love this monster, as well as the W140 and R129, which are my favorite Mercedes Benz cars ever made!!!!

Headlight wipers were super common for a lot of brands up until the min 2000's. Porsche, Mercedes, Volvo, Toyota. They all had them

@@VehicleVirgins iirc there were some modern cars that tried it. The only problem was if a motor failed you'd just have a stuck wiper. Nowadays the jets do the same thing and piggyback on the windshield system. Would be cool tho!
