@@Pinkheartbwell I'd love to know all the bits that were cut out. I find that they interviewers wanted to show a bad side to the family, so if they did say anything to that affect it may have been cut from the program.

The interviewer was very harsh with the women. She had no fault to what happened. Stop repeating history with hatred by attacking bloodlines connected to bad people. I only watched this to write a paper and certain scenes of video I was very disgusted by the interviewers attitude and character.

i was hoping to learn more about the relatives perception on ww2, but i was faced with biased and rude interviewers, which ruined any educational purposes this documentary could possibly have. no one can control what family they’re born in, so it was unfair.

There is so few actual reports by relatives. There was only one interview done on Hitler's sister Paula in the 1950s (there should have been more). Historians are trying to play catch up now. I see nothing wrong here!

this documentary should only be watched with critical eyes and ears. In the end i'm left with two questions, what's the purpose of this film and what does it really try to tell? It's a shame that these people are interwieved by amateurs with obviously bad German language skills and little historical knowledge.

Honestly, this is pretty poor form for documentary film making. They clearly didn't call ahead to several of the people they wanted to interview and they badgered Eva Braun's cousin and that guy who wanted the rights to Mein Kampf. It felt more like guerilla Journalism than documentary film making

This was a poorly conducted documentary. The interviewer caused too many misunderstandings and misleading questions because of the language barrier when talking with the German relatives who didn't speak English. (I say that as a fluent English and German speaker, understanding the spoken responses and intonations of the interviewees.)

I do not speak German, although I am from German ancestry. I did think about that i wondered if the questions were worded in a,manner to try to confuse or make the individual say what the reporter wanted to hear. I agree,with most of the posts here, leave the relatives alone!

The ‘Jewish issue’ could not be brought up during the Berghoff meetings. It happened at least once but that person was refused to go to the Berghoff after.

I really wish channels like this would include when the programme first aired in their descriptions.

He was my uncle. On Christmas he used to dress up like Santa Klaus. He never, ever talked politics when he was at our house, so we knew nothing of the Holocaust.

Love the first one she was firm but fair with her answer and showed she had love not hate in her just by saying we aren’t proud

The aggressive style of interviewing Eva Brown’s sister was most annoying... I am sure men kept such things out of intimate social and family relations

I can only imagine the deception used to make this ! I imagine a lot of time and effort getting them to open up then slipping in certain provocative questions knowing these people were in no position to answer ! I bet the footage not used was fantastic and of more use than what is used here.

Hello to all! I am german and I just saw this "documentary". I must say, it has no historical worth, because the "interviewer" is not able to speak proper german and it occurs, that the people he "interviewed" didn't get his questions. His "questions" don't make sense at all to us germans. He should have used a translator. This film has only very very small meaning to historical research at all. It's much more a narcistic drama for the interviewer who likes to provoke, manipulate and not investigate. There are way better documentaries.

Das stimmt! He cannot speak german properly. He seems to struggle through the German. It appears that the persons being interviewed dont really fully understand the question as you too have noticed. Anderseits knows he the proper german not. The textual transcriptions are off. He really should have used a translator. I could not watch the video in its entirety.

I can't stand these reporters. People are going to turn on them for their ways someday and it's going to get ugly. Never report the truth. Reword what has been told to them. Take words out of context. Reporting lies. It gets worse year after year.

Doing a historical documentary requires the documentary itself to be not biased which this on here clearly isn't. The reporter pushes his own narrative and his own believes in the end.

The interviewer kind of annoys me by the way he talks

Question was raised, why did the Reporter badger the cousin of Eva Braun about any knowledge about Konzentration Camps. My aunt in Germany who lived 11km from the Konzentrations Lager in Dachau told me the Happenings in Dachau during the War, that the towns people went to the Mayor in Dachau, complaining that he should clean up the Camp and stop the chimneys from spewing white ash from the chimney. Only after the War did the people find out to their horror, that they had been cremated people.

In the movie "Chandler's List" (made by Jew director Steven Spielberg), Oscar Chandler and his wife drove the horses and accidental noticed ashes and learnt that Jews were cremated in the camp. They were shocked. See in the move "Chandler's List".

I dated herman goering's niece. She kept the last name and when asked about it she was honest and open. Very nice woman. Weird but she had his smile if you looked closely. Also fun sense of humor. She called him uncle herman.

I Do Not like this reporter, since when do the children suffer for the sins of the father so to speak. He appears to be very prejudice per his attacks and questions. Even I know when reporting, you keep personal feelings, opinions and agendas out of it. Shame it could have been a better program.

Why is this dude attacking elderly people, while the only ‘crime’ they committed is being related to a mad man? This is not even a little okay.

The first minutes of this documentary gives what you expected and then all of a sudden it's only about the inheritance of Mein Kampf. That should've been a documentary on it's own, or this video should've been given different title.
