Dear Dunya, not all orthodox countries celebrate Christmas January 7th. You should walk through greek, bulgarian or romanian streets on December 25th: everything was closed for Christmas.

You should make it clear that it is December 25 on the Julian calendar, and that when it is December 25 on the Julian calendar, it is January 6th on the Gregorian Calender. It confuses people if you say it is January 6 when we are celebrating Christmas, but in actuality it is not.

You made one mistake. Eastern Orthodox Christians celebrates Christmas on December 25th even now. The different date appeared in the moment when civil governments decided to use Gregorian calendar but Church kept using Julian. To explain it better, in Serbia for example, Government decided to adopt Gregorian calendar in January 14th, 1919. when they decided that tomorrow day will be January 28th. But in Serbian Orthodox Church, day after was 15th of January, not 28th. So even today, when I am writing this comment, in Serbian Orthodox Church is 14th of December and not 27th, as you would think if you would check your PC calendar.

There is no such thing as "Eastern Orthodox Christians". Just "Orthodox Christians" Orthodox Church is One Holly Catholic and Apostolic Church and She doesn't have geographical position. This "eastern" thing is a western "etiquette" and it's not academical at all.

Only uncanonical heretical "church" in Ukraine created by Zelensky celebrate on 25th but the faithful Orthodox Ukrainians celebrate when the Orthodox Church is celebrating

I had a Greek Orthodox father and an Irish Catholic mother; we celebrate Christmas twice. Until the clergy can figure out how to unify Christ's Mystical Body, two Christmas celebrations are fine by me. That there is still a broken body of Christ in 2023 is inconceivable to our family. Blessing and peace to our host during this Holy Season.

There is no broken body. Rome left the Body in 1054, but the Body remains whole and intact, as it is the Body of Christ, therefore, it cannot be divided or broken up. Rome needs to return to the Church.
