1 - “Hangi işle meşgulsün?”: This question literally translates into “What job are you busy with?”, but we have decided to replace it with the more familiar term “What do you do for a living?” in the English subtitles, so it may make more sense.
2 - “İnşallah (Inshallah) and Maşallah (Mashallah): These two words borrowed from Arabic are commonly heard among Muslims. İnşallah means “God willing”, and is said after good wishes. Maşallah means “God has willed it”, and is used to express appreciation, praise or congratulations to other people.
3 - Usta: This word is normally used to refer to a master of an artisan craft or occupation, but it is also used as slang akin to the English “bro” or “dude”, especially among males.

It is sad or I can see how it can be, but this is Eastern thinking… the flipside is no matter how badly u fck up in life they will probably still try to support u in some way and won’t kick u out. This is Reason there are so few homeless in Turkey.

i was in germany berlin coolest city and people were askin me those questions to judge or discrabe me, in Turkey we ask the same questions not for racism or judging it is for opening a subject to talk,Turks does too much small talks u know.But in some way you are right this situation can sometimes increase social pressure. greetings my friends from istanbul now i go to drink til the moprning by :D
