I am from West Bengal State Board and I have to face unnecessary challenges in every step of my career. The mental pressure was so high that I was scared even to talk to anyone from other boards. It demotivated me and snatched my confidence. Where I was a topper in my board, I failed to pass the 1st year paper in college. My heartiest thanks to you Mohak. I owe you. Thanks a lot.

Even in the Term 1 exams (2021) 85% of the private schools were using unfair means and helping their students to cheat in the board exams despite the Texams being conducted through offline mode. And as someone who is himself in 12th standard and seeing students around you scoring almost full marks just because their schools help them cheat and yours did not it is very demotivating and mentally draning. Along with our parents passing negative comments on to us and not acknowledging the fact of the whole 'mass cheating' going onaround the whole nation. It is all just a mess and there is this weird feeling inside of students like me who don't even want to study any more because it doesn't even matter now.

The reason being simple the text book used is very tough then NCERT so to normalise pass percentage. “Our maths book is print of RD Sharma” .Even I got 95.6% I feel there are less and angry during results because My friends who just mug up got more marks then me who studied everything. For many years, the top 3 of the class In a school were eligible to give scholarship exam, no matter of they just passed. I was never among the top 10 (tho I score 80-90%). But my tution teacher who was also father of my topper friend keep saying that I have the talent to score more than his daughter when it comes to concept. I never knew what he's trying to say, and that's too calling me Better than his topper daughter until the scholarship exam criteria changed When I was in class 8 the criteria became "those who scored 80% or more are eligible to give scholarship exam so I got selected for it. In my tution all of them were 90% one, only me being 80%. Still my teacher never looked down on me and gave us same level of teaching. At the end, I was the only one in my class whi got the scholarship ever since then, nobody others were. When I got it from the first time, then my sir said "See I told you, you can beat up the topper in concept. Mugging up things and clearing your concepts are 2 different things entirely" I'm very grateful to him.

This is the truth! I've been through this. I was in 12th when they decided to conduct NEET UG for medical admissions. The students like me.. from Maharashtra Board & from financially weaker section couldn't afford to compete CBSE, ICSE syllabus within one year. I don't see any role of colleges in student's career, the junior college I admitted one was 150 yrs old, and they couldn't even complete 10% of syllabus. Everybody relies on private tuitions. I was completely fed up that time. I was hungry like hell for knowledge, for my career....But there's huge gap... which myself couldn't fill up. Deep down I knew I can do it. But I had no money for reputed tution classes. College was just useless. I had no time to cover CBSE syllabus. As government itself was confused whether to conduct NEET or MH-CET. I think people also had filed petition regarding this mess of NEET.

Really amazing it gives you adequate time and guidance for competitive exam .But sadly CBSE is not so we have to continuously do our assignement given by school plus prepare for monthly exams ,Completing every subject copy and if there is any problem with any work mentioned above they simply reduce the marks and the way CBSE checks the copy is sucking.Only very brilliant student can prepare for competitive exams being studying in CBSE schools because there is very less time for extra studies they have so many project and assignement for irritating students.

My class 11th didn't go well because our schools started in July 2022 and so everything had been fast paced, we didn't get time to adapt. Now after finals, our school is starting class 12th from 12 March, and i fear that it doesn't get wasted as well. After watching this video my fear has just increased a lot. I was a topper before class 10, but class 10 gave me a blow due to which i suffered in class 11, and now i just pray i don't suffer the same in class 12. I live Delhi and my school is CBSE board so i don't think i have to face much problems, but still this board exam vs entrance exam thing is pretty broken. JEE wants you to study everything outside school syllabus and join coaching for that and it's only on the basis of this that you will get IIT or any other engineering college. Don't entrance exams like these actually nullify the importance of class 12th boards? What use of being 12th district topper and getting featured in news when you can't even solve a single question of entrance exams due to them requiring coaching centres? And marks inflation is such a huge problem that idk if i ever want to aspire for full marks in class 12 now. And i feel it's not the entrance exams that would add to the pressure. Entrance exams are completely bias free and rely solely on the candidate's aptitude and preparation. It's the boards that either need to be removed or made less important now so the marks don't really matter. For PCM students like me, you are anyways not getting IITs even if you are getting 100% in every class 12 boards. Plus the amount of activities and assignments they give! Oh my God, CBSE really thinks every class 11 and 12 student bas nalla baitha hai to bas activities pakadate chale jaao marks ke naam par! What kind of shit is this? Do we JEE aspirants really have that much time to complete shitty assignments or activities like creating a damned poster with colours like a 5 year old of atomic orbitals or some shit? What's the most depressing fact is that our parents will not understand this shit and just say "it's an excuse for hiding your incapabilities", atleast mine do. PS: I didn't join coaching at the start of class 11th because i was in online coaching and i thought I might do well but i started getting distracted with all the background noises of people working in my house because it was difficult to grasp the concepts at that time and the teachers were going really fast. And after sometime i also started getting distracted by games etc. Then i joined physical coaching in November but i think it's too late as i will only be able to study class 12 concepts now instead of class 11. I think I wasted my life or something.

I scored 74.6 and i was college topper but didn't get selected in DU cutoff .. only 33 percent passed in science in 2017 you can imagine how tough the exam was but no one cares about it . The other boards like CBSE, ICSE and States boards give their students nearly 90+ percentage . I am strongly supporting your analysis .if students of bihar and other low score giving boards start giving 90+ percentage no doubt we can easily replace them (fake percentage) . Thanks a lot to bring this issue...🙏

As a state board student of Karnataka, here everyone gets above 90% and awfully, our society thinks that board exams are very important for those who are taking engg/medical as their future career. But, they consider half of the board exam marks in the CET, which majority of the students take the exam. There is very negligeble awareness given to JEE mains and advanced, NEET exams and several other entrance exams. Therefore, the board toppers seem to have a setback in the entrance exams and several average students who dream of standard engg/medical institutions will have a bad mountainous path for success.

Not only is it tiring for students to study for 2 types of exams differently, it is also so pointless. Either create a unified exam that combines board and entrance exams or completely wipe out the board exams.

When professor asked me about my percentage, it was very much embarassing for me to tell about my percentage in front of whole 95 % category students. My fellow classmates and some professor also consider us as weak students. then after 6 months our first semester end and results came after few days..guess what... Moreover, we have spent our high school time at home. CBSE exam 2019 for class 10th got over at 18th March and from 19th March onwards, lockdowns started to take place and Class 12th remaining exams were canceled. From that date, till now, we are in our homes and now we have to give 3 exams with online education. I want to add that I don't think there is a major need for increasing the seats in IITs, IIMs and top ranked NEET colleges as if we do so, the Importance of these colleges will reduce and everyone cannot be at the top. We should increase number of colleges, definitely but not the top-ranked ones.

Instead we should design an exam which will be conducted on the basis of subjects that the person will choose and depending upon the subject and how much marks they scored and how much potential they have , they will be able to enter into any college or university in india in the said subjects . This will make the students have a balanced course that they can choose and will guarantee their success rate . To ensure proper conducting of this exam a body should be made that is independent from the government and the exam should be on a competitive level of neet or jee .

Many students who initially scored in 80's in the ICSE boards held when they were in 9th standard, got their result above 95% in their 10th boards. There should not be any problem if students have equal apportunity with fair decisions where (percentage ,grade) doesn't matter.

in my 10th grade i was a studious child during the lockdown . studied a lot was 200% focused and never ever ever cheated . acc to my calculation , i shouldve gotten around 90 percent but my school gave me the wrong maths ke marks and then refused to change it (they gave me 59 instead of the 89 i expected - and when i tried to communicate that they completely stopped replying to emails) . i was so so so heartbroken istg because there were people around me who chilled thru the entire lockdown and still managed to score above 90 by cheating . i knew i deserved better - fast forward to 2 years later i gave my 12th board exams much less focused than what i was in 10th grade and scored ( i kid you not) 94% with a 99 in english ( pcb + psychology) . the mental trauma and torture i went thru because of the cancellation of board exams in 2021 was something else entirely .

Absolutely brilliant work done man! The highly skewed demand and supply of quality education has been ailing Indian youth for quite a long time now. And the benefits of this is often reaped by the coaching industry, which is witnessing a huge boom. Maybe you should make next video on this huge surge in coaching businesses.

When i passed 12th in 2004, Medical seat last cut off for GM category was 4500 rank. 90K students had applied that year for exam. So class 12 board exam cut off percentage of 4500 ranked student was 96%. In 2014, medical cut off was same 4500 as there were no new colleges added but 3L student applied for exam !! So class 12 board exam cut off percentage of 4500 ranked student was 98.5%.

i faced a situation during my 12th exams from Bihar board when i was astonished to know that the state topper couldn't get more than 80% , though i knew i also didn't deserve less percentage . similar situation in jharkhand too how good you write you'll get average marks . but things are completely different in Bengal state board.

Man as a 12th student I feel very sad. Everything is just about this exam and that scores and colleges. Our country's kids are suffering through hell imo and that too from a younger age nowadays. Even if the ones who succeed only have bookish knowledge and how to solve questions instead actually learning. All of classes are more about how to score questions and get Max marks and somewhere along the way we lose something much important.

I'm a 12th student currently studying in state board Maharashtra. I am preparing for my nift entrance exams and there is a lot of portion in designing studies which is really hard considering i have to give my boards around the same time its too much study and a lot of study pressure by parents aswell. Entrance exams are good but it brings a lot of work with it which can put a lot of pressure on students
