"What Is Wrong With My Stalker?" Signs Of Psychotic Stalking | Psychotherapy Crash Course

#trauma #stalking #psychology
#domesticviolence #psychosis #relationships
Stalking is a terrible crime. I consider it a crime because it impedes on the life of an unsuspecting person. It is something that can ruin the psychological and emotional stability of someone who deserves to live a life free of harassment and free of intimidation.
Stalking is a crime that impacts 1 in 6 women and 1 in 17 males. Although more women are stalked, men are also stalked and intimidated.
In this video, I will be discussing a small population of individuals who stalk others but with an underlying psychotic disorder, primarily delusional disorder. Brief psychotic disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder can all be included as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Discussed in the video:
-Definition of stalking
-Statistics and research on stalkers
-Discussion of ADHD and the relationship between untreated ADHD and ODD, CD, and ASPD
-Discussion of signs and characteristics of psychotic stalkers

Unfortunately yes. Last year a Schizophrenic man I grew up with, showed up at my door, smiling, thinking I invited him....long story short the police got involved, arrests made, had to hire a PI. It was a nightmare. Turns out he has spent the majority of his adult life stalking women who he thinks are in love with him. It is very sad bc growing up, he was such a nice guy. When he would follow me, talking to him was was like what it would be like talking to someone with Alzheimer’s. He believed we were soulmates and was living in his own alternate reality. He admitted to seeing “messages” from me on billboards. All of these things were clearly very real to him and there was no hope of talking sense into him.

They know what’s wrong with them. They just want someone else to have something wrong with them to suffer along with those idiots. They refuse to seek treatment. All stalkers suffer from a personality disorder, mostly narcissistic to antisocial.

In my opinion, all stalkers have a personality disorder. Most are co-morbid with both BPD and NPD with a dose of OCD. The OCD makes them obsessive about you. You see OCD is not only about cleaning behind the fridge, they are obsessed with you. Stalking is basically a "malign hoover" with a "malice obsession", you keep "sticking" in their mind-just like cleaning behind the fridge.

We are gang stalkered. If they work together it's group stalking. There may be more stalkers that you don't know are there because you didn't notice them. But a group is ganging up on one person making it a gang. It's about the numbers. Gang stalkers will change them out in large gangs. A small group of gang stalkers sounds like some serious hit men to us because to run all of that all on your own you have to have experience with hit man tactics. LOL Shoot. Hit men. But it may be some hit men. What characteristics? Gang stalker traits. The government the mafia and terrorists all use similar tactics. The government's very big though much bigger than the mafia. Gang stalking was invented by Russian's and Hitler got into it or something and then the US got it from Hitler.Organized crime / mafia use the same tactics as the mafia. Almost exactly the same tactics.* Gang stalker characteristics- The MS - 13 / 18 gang members down the hall gang stalk us and follow us to the store oftentimes and then when we get back they're following us in. We ran right into him coming in the other night going down the hall. And he got a coke? He gets coke twice? So we saw him again n' he said something and then went by and said something mean. We took trash out after getting back home and he was at the coke machine again. It's a gang so there's other Spanish speaking gang members who follow us in and out and at the store. But last time we didn't see them after we typed a bit on them online on Blogger. He looks spanish the man that we been seeing out there. So we figured he's with them n' he stalks us in and out of the apartment everytime or has been recently when we went out. He may be living illegally here with one of them upstairs named Maria. They got a job at that store and we didn't even go yesterday because it seems like they work Tues. Thursday and ? forgot. Wrote it down though. A few days a week working at the dollar store.

I’m moving due to being stalked by this ex con they let out back in March due to the covid outbreak. He pulls in front of my apt and will sit in his car for hours sometimes 7-8 hours blasting music, sometimes smoking a cigarette standing infront of my gate staring into my living room window and talking to himself loudly about shooting and killing people. The music he blasts always has the most violent lyrics like “i got my murder on my mind” or “you’re nobody til somebody kills you” and will make sure my building is literally shaking. It’s terrifying. He’s a huge big dude too and I know for a fact he’s feared by everyone in our neighborhood. The crazies part is, he doesn’t even live in this neighborhood! Like wtf. I asked my landlord to ask him to atleast move to the next building with the noise but they claimed it’s a public street so nothing I could do. Then I called the police and nothing happened. The last straw I got the courage to jus confront him from my door and ask him why he’s doing this and literally started to cry I was so frustrated and he looked at me and smirked! So disgusting! He then goes “I’m loud? Oh don’t cry baby” Like ew I’m not ur fucking baby! So I thought he would leave and things went smooth for like a few days and then it got more often and more blatant. I’m moving in like 2-3 weeks into a whole different city with gated security as this place has 0 security and 0 cameras. I’m so glad to leave but it’s to the point I think I might need to warn my movers to make sure they’re not being followed by him in case he’s around the day I move. This has taken a huge toll on my mental health for the worst. I already have PTSD and it’s in a severe state right now due to my hyper vigilance. These people are 99% narcissistic sociopaths or psychopaths.

I had stalkers, as in group of them from my former workplace, and the things you are saying really describes them and the things they do. Thay always read all my private messages and react to it and let me hear it and make fun of it, sometimes repeat that certain word, and a sample is when we had our house getting fixed, they are also saying their house is getting fixed. What's worse is, they were all from HR Department and IT manager and they spread all my private messages, already doing invasion of privacy, to other departments. They think they know the real you just because they read your private messages. And I really felt sorry when I learned what they did specially to the people I talked to because some of the conversations were private problems and was not intended for any other and it wasn't cool at all to do that. I changed my password multiple times, changed phones, formatted my phone and they still did it and never stopped and was even laughing at what they are doing and they really can't grasp respect and like what they are doing is not illegal. I moved to another country and changed all my social media, phone, diid not add them to my new account, but then I learned they are still accessing my account from who I thought was a friend of mine, which was "God oriented", very active in church or religious stuff when he reacted to one of my private messages and post from Facebook. My friends and I talked about it about their mentality and after watching your video, actually confirms what we said. We even thought if it was done to them, what would they think. They really give toxic environment. Toxic immature people.

Your videos are so informative and easy to follow. I am posting them on my pages for my followers and myself. I have had to educate myself about this type of behavior for the first time in my life I am dealing with someone who is stalking me and has been escalating in their stalking tactics . I think the worst thing we can do is not to take this situation seriously and not do what is required to protect yourself. You are so right it’s starts with knowing the traits of someone who can become a stalker. I tried to be diplomatic about the person who I was getting some behavior red flags from and give them the benefit of doubt but this was a mistake you have to remove yourself as soon as you notice or feel in your gut something is wrong .

It is unwelcome attention a reasonable WOMAN would find frightening or even annoying. This is a deeply gendered issue. Most stalkers are men who stalk women but even men who are stalked are mostly stalked by men. Ex-partner stalkers are the most dangerous. This is a very serious threat to the safety of millions of women every year. It is not laughing matter and should never be dismissed by police, therapists, lawyers, judges or other authorities.

That spots on! My stalker has all those 4 disorders: personality disorder, narcissistic behavior, mental illness and criminal behavior. He's so delusional and sickly obssesive about having me all to himself despite being already married and having 2 kids, definitely he cannot accept rejection, and keeps stalking me to every detail of my life, as if he owned me: my whatsapp, my email, my messages, my conversation with people, my computer, videos i watched, even comments i left on youtube, everything he can stalk!! Excellent at twisting words and playing victim in front of his followers. He already fell into my trap, and now i'm confirmed he's utterly sick. I purposely provoked him through comments on youtube to monitor his behavior later, and now he already showed a reaction on his social media, what an amazing a**h***, an LOA fanatics who uses the concept to justify his flexing behaviour as "maintaining his high vibration" for him to show off how rich, successful and happy he is to the whole world without feeling guilty! Reading my one of my comments i purposely left yesterday night, he's now trying to ask for justifications from his followers on threads asking if a "humble man" like him is not allowed to own luxury things?!!! A coincidence?? HELL NO!! I managed to irritate him and he now feels threathened and seeks justification to feel good that he's not doing anything wrong with showing off his private life and stalking other person's privacy at the same time!!!! If i could, i would do more things to make him dissapear from this world as i have already broken my limit for having been stalked for more than 10 years and experiencing my unpublisdhed ideas being stolen for his cursed books and courses!!!!! Enough is enough, i cant tolerate his crime any longer!!!!!!!!!! What a shameless disgusting pig he is!!!!!!!!

I've read so much on the psychology & typology of stalkers, but mine doesn't fit into established categories. I've exhausted my resources - academic journals, books, videos from the experts, local & national domestic violence & crime victim 1-800 numbers, to know avail. My stalker was a family friend / known to me (for 6 months) and my husband (for 4.5 yrs.) before we went no contact (because I realized he was insanely manipulative, controlling, was gaslighting & triangulating my family members). The stalking began a week later and could best be described as 'covert' - - no harassing texts or calls, no cyber-stalking, no overt communication. He went straight to proximity stalking, coming onto our property unseen & moving / rearranging things. Also left a (very specific & evocative) object in a place for me to find. But I've never physically seen him here & he's made no approach, no contact. The only stalker typology that remotely fits is "predatory", but predatory stalkers don't generally have a pre-existing relationship with their victims. I'm stumped. The domestic violence & crime victim hotlines have no knowledge of 'atypical' stalkers and tell me they don't hear anything (in my story) that raises red flags for violent propensity. But, I'm not sure how accurate their assessment can be if they're not familiar with atypical manifestations. Are all atypical stalkers presumed to be psychotic? Is it possible for a predatory stalker to stalk people they know?

So glad I ran into your channel. I am an older woman, single, and celibate that works in healthcare. I work at night. I noticed that when I go to work. Many young men who are my neighbors follow me to a certain point. They appear in the grocery store when I go. Some follow me up to a certain point when I go to work. One was at a light waving at me to go when I got off work. My work is thirty minutes from my home. One male neighbor even rent different cars to follow me. They are mostly young males. They even pull up when I come out or make it their business to be outside. One older male sits outside for hours until I come out. He finally got up enough nerves to approach me. I told him I had a living spouse and not looking. I only say hello or good morning in passing. At first, I had to examine myself. Then I realized and cofirmed that I do have quite a few stalkers. All these young men are single. I have no interest . But, I do thank God for protecting me. I have no idea what they want and I will not be meeting their needs or demands. Thanks for your insight. Jesus Christ is Lord.

I always thought maybe this had something to do with him being so invested in my life 10 years after our divorce..the ADD and the adrenaline junking, ie. having to jump out of air planes to feel something. Excellent presentation. Thank you for sharing. Sometimes, I wish that we would tie things like ADHD, Autism, and Schizophrenia more towards metal toxicities and their affects on behaviors. Several metallic particulates, when in excess, have been linked to these conditions. I think that if we connected these links more frequently, then our focus would become directed more towards our atmosphere and environment. You have provided a very in depth view of stalking and I appreciated your experience and knowledge on the subject as it is very distressing to experience a stalker. I think Psychology you be taught to middle school students on an introductory level, to prepare them for high school and college. Thanks again Tamara.

@@TherapistTamaraHill I am trying to help my friend avoid a nightmare stalker who lives in another State. this woman is a malignant narcissist and relentless. She is a resentful stalker and will do whatever it takes to get revenge. He has been dealing with this madness since 2016. He sent her a Notice and Demand to Cease and Desist contact, via certified mail. There is power in the notice, in that if she attempts to contact him in any way or comes near him or his property, she is in violation of the cease and desist notice. This sets the evidence in motion to sue her for damages should that become a necessity. One cannot violate State Law without also violating Federal Law because one mirrors the other. Having experienced severe depression and later a drug and alcohol induced psychosis where I was put in a hospital in my late teens and now have bipolar in my early 20s. I find it hard watching videos like this because it really does stigmatise mental health. Are most people in general with psychotic mental health disorders stalkers ?

I feel like I’m being stalked by one of my neighbors. I go to 12 Step Meetings down the street from my house, and when she walks past there “coincidentally” at times when there are meetings, she actually approaches me outside the clubhouse and starts trying to have a conversation and questioning me about what I’m doing there and my sobriety. Now she has started going there and hanging out outside. She’s not an alcoholic, and they have told her about open meetings and that she can attend those. It’s weird. I’m obviously not required to talk to her and I go to closed meetings, but it’s still uncomfortable, because she’s always outside of the apartment building and it feels like you just can’t do anything without her seeing it, making comments, and forcing interaction. I’m cordial with her, but it’s like I just get no space.

I don't think he wants to talk but is getting a power trip from harassing me. I already have health issues with my heart , can't really afford to move. Any suggestions this is definitely creepy and very intimidating. I'm afraid if I go to the cops they won't help and will think I'm the one with the problem. I have no privacy outside and can be seen from three streets in front of my apt. This didn't start until after he watched me at family gathering, also lost my mom in Feb I have enough on my plate shouldn't have this to deal with now. What possible options do I have , he has technically done nothing that I can report. It's stressing me out alot.

He has NPD & I have BPD. He SA’d me & now stalks me bc he hates me for turning him in & telling people about him. While I can see how some of my behaviors could be seen as stalking, I just want to feel safe by knowing what he’s doing from social media bc he’s threatened me & always finds out when I tell people about him. He has gun & drug charges & very emotionally unstable. I’ve tried to reason with him so he’s not mad so I feel more safe but it’s pointless.

I was just talking about this earlier with someone, so I was wondering if you saw a connection. Is there evidence that algorithms have increased stalking behavior because people get stuck in rabbit holes of the same content? I was watching this and suddenly wondered how to approach this day and age where people can literally stalk people anytime they want because of social media. I've noticed things started changing in society when it became normal to talk about people behind peoples back. 😆 It makes it more difficult to pin down clear evidence of stalking.

Good question! I have heard and the research says that algorithms can have a major influence on stalking behaviors but it depends on the person. Most stalkers do get into a "rabbit hole" and can't come out. That's why there are many cases where stalkers are delusional and could use psychiatric intervention. Their thinking is skewed. And the issue of stalking on social media is major. It's BIG for younger people in today's society. I do believe social media is the enemy to stalking victims. There needs to be more laws around this. Cyber bullying is now a crime in most states. Cyber stalking should be as well and the criteria to meet a "cyber stalking" charge should be clear.

Cyber stalkers are the worse. Sadly mine is my brother-in-law who is a computer contractor for the government and has a security clearance. I gave him access to my phone because my sister and mother asked him to help me. He has hacked all of them before me. He set up my family’s T-Mobile account and computers. My sister relays on him. She found intimate videos he stole off my phone. She told him to leave me alone or I would go to the cops and he said if she would help me, he’d make sure she would never get a penny from him and would make sure she would never see her kids again. My family lied to the detective and the detective said it would be impossible to get a restraining order on him because my county is so small and they do not have the capacity and the sources to help. The thing is my family won’t help me because my sister relies on him to live. When I sat with the detective and they laughed at me while I was crying asking for help.

What do you do when law enforcement is involved in the stalking, in part because they are related to or friends with the person(s) that started the stalking. Also, it seems prevalent now that many law enforcement officers are in their own law enforcement gangs and conduct criminal activity under the color of law knowing that it will be very easy for them to get away with it. There's a concept known as gang stalking, and unfortunately there are several law enforcement personnel that participate in this sort of thing. It is easy to prove law enforcement involvement when you pull police records such as body cam videos or dash cam videos and dispatch recordings.

What does one do to escape an associate and family member that are both stalking and harassing? It's been occurring for 13 years?! Atp I want out. It's serious. Yes they hallucinate. The one dude swears he met me before he actually did. He repeats the same phrase knowing that he'd been stalking me the entire time. What's more is the stalker cousin who pretends to be me for money. I find that highly embarrassing as I've never needed others to take care of myself. Hopefully she gets clean and takes care of herself. The psychosis is real. They love to steal from me. She even stole a pair of my period panties. That was the tipping point for me. 🤐

I saw this and I wanna say that this individual with autism and learning disabilities may simply be confused about boundaries. I have autism and I have come off as rather clingy because all those subtle hints to “come here” “give me attention” or “go away” just don’t register. I won’t know to leave you alone unless you flat out tell me, and often I find people are afraid to say those things for fear of being rude or insensitive. I always think the best thing to do in these situations is to be blunt and straightforward, because thats what people with autism can understand. The multiple learning disabilities may have an influence on this too. It’s possible if you haven’t bluntly told them or communicated with them however they can manage (writing, visuals, etc) that you’re uncomfortable with their behavior before, they have no idea they’re doing anything wrong.

Its interesting, as an adult with ADD I would agree about the potential towards sociopathy. I myself was worried about such traits and spoke with a professional about my own concerns (about myself) when I was about 20 (I'm 50 now). The professional though I had a conscience, and this would prevent any bad behavior. They were right I think. But my parents both probably had ADHD (my Father was termed hyperactive by doctors as a child, there was no ADHD diagnosis in the 1940s/1950s). My Mother's own description of her own behaviour as a child sounds very oppositional and defiant (she seemed proud of this). Unfortunately both parents were very cruel to us children and showed plenty of sociopathic traits and seemed to have not much of a conscience.

There is an online stalker who is saying I am the online stalker to them. What do I do then? They recently reached out to business contacts and tried to destroy my reputation by saying inaccurate things. This person “speaks to me” via their social media bios, sending notes my way without naming me. They are always threatening or insulting or both. I’m not sure what to do.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. This is tormenting to say the least. I would start taking "inventory" of their behaviors and keep a paper-trail. Stalkers who are mentally ill or not that bright will often trip themselves up. They can't keep track of all of their behaviors. Someone with a personality disorder like narcissistic personality or antisocial personality may be a bit more sneaky which means you will be required to be smarter and stay ahead of them. It's a tough battle. I'm sorry you're going through this.

AA meetings are good for stalkers. It is more acceptable to be an alcaholic than to be a stalker. Most Stalkers dont want to stalk they often just dont have anywhere to go andquite often they pay for counselling only to find the counsellor doesnt hold them accountable for anything they do and the counsellor is more interested in collecting the cheque at the end of the session than to help them. Stalkers often feel as though they are possessed. One minute they are fine and then they meet someone amd after a while that somebody is all they can think about. And the stalking is usually just a cry for help. They feel like if only you will talk to them again then maybe their thoughts will quieten down a little. It is just like being an alcaholic. They promise this is the last time they will call you and then 6 months later they are calling you again.. but from a different number this time. Stalkers come on YT to see if there is a cure for their problem only to find a bunch of therapists talking smack about them. They don't have anywhere to go and there is nowhere to get help and so AA meetings is the only help they can get. Don't get me wrong some stalkers are just pure evil but most are not. If stalkers look at their own behaviour as if it is alcahol then that will help them. Because stalkers are addicts too. For example. Severe depression/constantly crying- Jack daniels Looking at your social media- Vodka Calling you repeatedly- red wine Showing up in places where they know you will be- beer. There is alot of people talking about stalkers but there isnt alot of people telling stalkers how to solve their own suffering. And so AA meetings for alcaholics should extend to stalkers. You can go anywhere in the world and find an AA meeting but When was the last the last time you saw a group meeting for love obsession/stalkers?
