This was never high tech, ever.

I had one a very long time ago. To replace the belt-cord, you may want to try an industrial parts store and match the old part to a new O-ring. Good Luck.

I just got a new belt and it is working much better. It is fussy to set up but I was surprised that with the new belt it takes up the film much better than shown in this video. You can see a very short video of it with the new belt that is part my ebay listing for this item at www.ebay.com/itm/295803306812 if you are interested.

I paid $5 for this at a flea market and it sold for $40 plus shipping.

"What hole"? Oh, eye hole.

Boil your belt for 5 minuets and it will return to its original size, it is starched.
