Flats, i definitely recommend grabbing a dragon fruit from the store and trying it. Just cut it up and skin it, or cut it in half and use a spoon to scoop it out. It's yummy! Even a bad dragon fruit doesn't taste bad, it's just bland if it's bad, so it's not as dangerous as trying other fruits that can taste too sour or bitter. And of course, good Dragon Fruit is top tier.

depends what fruit the jam is, strawberry jam is nice because strawberries are naturally soft and the chunks have a clearer flavor than a jelly, though most other fruits you are right the texture is off

Your definitions are actually a bit off. The difference between jelly and jam is not the chunks but how it's made. Jam achieves its texture by boiling a lot of the water from the mixture until it can hold together just through the stickyness of the sugars. Depending on what fruit the jam is made from and how it was processed prior to boiling, it can have a perfectly smooth texture without any chunks. Jelly achieves its texture through the addition of a gelifying agent like pectine. It still can contain chunks, though that's not super common because people who buy jelly typically are looking for a very specific consistency.
