There is the a13 from the same store in clamshell, but you won't be able to put in a real arcade stick. No upgrade on the spec outside IPS panel.

May I ask, to avoid stickers wearing, has any1 used some form of sealant over the stickers to preserve the decal with prolonged use? Just curious as some sealants can be affected by things such as console heat and stuff and admittedly I am not a expert on these things >.>

The A13 is an IPS, I believe... This one is a bog standard panel.

The real problem whit this machine is the batery, crack after 2 or 3 month of use... But, is an awesome machine. Great review!

Good point. Thing is the battery could be switched for something of better quality. It's not like a cellphone when it comes to exact size, hook up two wires and it should be sorted with this machine

I enjoy my A12, but the washed out screen is really the main drawback. The screen on your A12 looks much better than mine though. I wonder if they've upgraded it? Also the CFW video you link to has comments saying the CFW has worse battery life, you can't adjust the brightness, and can sometimes cause crashes when the battery is below 30%. Has the CFW been improved since then? Thank you!

I'm unsure ... Maybe the washed out screen is bilinear filter? The cfw in my opinion changes the game as the stock fw is a bit meh. We have had crashes at lower power levels, but that's probably because it needed charging. :)

It has a tf card slot, and RetroArch does a lot that EmuELEC can do. It'd be cool to mod tbh, maybe put in a 905x3.

Does any1 know if team ruka is making a update to powkiddy a12 firmware? Apparently on newer models the firmware doesn't work, ( heard of batocera as alternative bit have heard I doesntvwork well on some games like neo geo) also can't seem to find that mvs theme online (sorry a bit of a noobie when it comes to modding )

After installing retroarch, the screen on a12 is cut off and I can't see all the options. Changing the scaling doesn't help much. Can the resolution be changed?

Did you install the batocera / retroarch from the GitHub ? I think there was a setting for monitor resolution size. Maybe ask the guys who develop the install?

I love that arcade machine, even though some games run slow, could you tell in private msg where you got the bezels and other retroarch stuff ? It looks pretty neat ! Thanks

The best thing to do IMO is use ruka cfw. The stock firmware isn't the best, but at least it plays games alright.

I got mine two years ago and I also don't have this default menu or games. I think maybe different sellers have slightly different variations.

Where did you get the snk menu from as that's not stock on team ruka ? Thankyou.

It is one by Team Ruka- but a build called "Melusa" - I'm pretty certain there are a few around, just keep your eyes open for them

Love to see a way to get it to play stadia or xcloud via browser access and bt controller

A little later on in the video it shows the software switch to flip it to 4:3. I do agree though; it does look like arse while stretched.

With that attitude, you'll never be happy. When it's 4.3, why isn't it crt? Then why is it only 9 inches? Why does it have a sanwa and not a seimitsu ? ... If you honestly only care about it being 4.3 in aspect, you should be happy with the egret ii mini. That's for you. ... Sorry to say, there are more people in this world than just one person. We all have different needs... Competition is good. Through this rivalry, hopefully we can get to see one that really kicks the llamas ass.

You didn't say anything after flaps, you let us all down. 😔 Rest of the video recovered but still flaps!! Gosh darn it chicken man!! Also nice how they included Super Magical Hat, as for Metal Gear in the Megadrive section with a Metal Slug title screen and a different menu name. 🤔 I won't call you out on saying Metal Slug wrong, I am not like that! 😏 In regards to Magical Hat, a English patched version has finally been released after 20+ years so I recommend playing it more so now.
