Ego settles into easy beliefs. Beliefs are a quick and cheap substitute for real knowing. If you want to really know, you will have to give up some part of yourself that is satisfied with not knowing. We value self preservation more than the truth. Real understanding cannot happen with self preservation. Understanding is a process or self dissolution. That's the price you pay to understand. You cannot understand remaining who you are. You can gather knowledge remaining who you are. But knowledge and understanding are different. When you understand internally you keep losing your concept of the self, because your concept of the self within is as false as your beliefs without. If you want to drop your false beliefs about the world, you will have to correspondingly drop your false beliefs about yourself. To lose beliefs about oneself is a bit like death. We don't want to die so we keep holding onto all that we think and believe about the universe. Love towards truth is the source of love towards all that you are attracted to in the world. If you have a lot of courage without having the truth then it is quite dangerous because then your courage is being used to defend all falseness. Courage must be a product of your proximity to the truth. You have to have the truth like your baby. Like how a mother defends and nurses and takes care of a baby. That's you have to be with the truth. Very gentle, very motherly, very soft yet extremely ferocious. There is a difference between what is right and what is desirable. Often we clash with parents because our desires are different from theirs. And a clash of desires means nothing. One blind desire against another blind desire is hardly a battle to watch, it is a meaningless battle. Do not be proven wrong for lack of effort, for lack of sincerity. You must be very sincere. After that if you are proven wrong or defeated. It is alright, You did the best you could.

Pranam Acharyaji, You spoke about good luck in this. As for me, I feel it is my good luck that your teachings have come into my life. The kind of person I was , it wasn't possible for me to choose to come to you. My choice would be also like my small brain. So, I can't say that I chose to be in the best company ever possible. After coming to you, after almost 48 years of my life had passed, I came to understand my thirst. Till then, a hidden and suppressed dissatisfaction was there but couldn't understand what it was. People had started calling me "अतृप्त इंसान". I had started feeling as if I was happy staying unhappy. To really think of it, now I can't even relate to that person that I was in past. I had many beliefs: worst was that I considered myself too meek to question any falseness. That made my life hell and I made it hell for others. Now, much is sorted and lots and lots of beliefs have broken along with many relations. This has given me a lot of freedom which I am truly enjoying. Now I am तृप्त from the point of thought that I am on the right path. अंत तक निभ जाए , यही प्रार्थना है बारंबार। Regards, Minu Khemka
