New sub, new flatbander. I use a slingshot as a reference for my recurve. Keeps me in “instinctive” practice. I don’t know why I never used flat bands before. Great content. Thank you sir.

I own the hammer Lt head and xt handle. I can run any band set the xt can handle. Just a thought. Love your video. I watch all the simple shot videos. I love it when he chronographs different band sets. I only use flatbands since watching him.

Another recommendation is the Milbro Folding Slingshot With Laser (MILFLATFOLDLAS). Similar to the Hammer, but only takes flatbands. Folding brace, ammo storage in the handle with a nice little dispensing mechanism, fibreoptics & laser for those interested in that type of thing. Twenty quid. Bargain

I cringe using my Torque with them narrow forks and ironically I shoot heavy on it. Definitely wearing gloves on that one. Prob will wear when using lead or steel on any frame. I’m going to be reviewing the torque X next week. It has wider fork.

Buddy!!👏👏👏 You're well aware that I love to point out any problems with long explanations. There's no need here, you're spot on! It's all about the bands. Asking what's the most powerful slingshot is like asking, what's the most powerful .22 rifle. It depends on what ammo you're stuffing in it. The rifle only needs to tolerate the force, fork in this case. I agree with the hammer as the best option for many reasons. The stability as mentioned is first. Second, no matter where your slinging experience takes you, the hammer will accommodate. Lastly, it has a wide gap, much easier to gain accuracy with. I won't bother going into the reasons for that, unless someone asks and they should feel free to do so. My style has evolved over time and settled on heavy bands at half butterfly. Make no mistake, it took a lot of training to pull those with no shaking and be accurate. Novices, take his advice and start with a short/face draw. Learn the basics and then gradually increase your draw length. With my setup, I shoot either 9.5 mm or 8 mm steel. If I need to reach out at extreme range, I'll use 8mm, knowing I'm not going to hit as hard or as accurately because of distance. Closer, 9.5 is the go to. I'm focused on hunting and a humane kill. That means I'd rather take my chances stalking closer and use my heavy ammo than risk a long shot and leave a critter to suffer. It appears I didn't avoid a long explanation, but that's my own failing and no argument against the points mentioned here. Have a great day buddy 👍

Good information. I've met and camped with Nathan and Can. Also communicate with Chuckin quite a lot and we've all done some trading. But I think you're leaving out one very good sling manufacturer. Saunders archery. They were the very first to make the wrist rocket and have been in business since 1954. I've spoken with Chuck Saunders often. So check out the pro X, Wing and even the falcon from Saunders archery. I've done a review on the pro X on my KZread channel. Take care brother 👍

Power is the ability to do work. It can be fast; slow rotational; linear. I use 4x 3/8" tubes with ritating cams. 14lb draw. For lead 9mm 3/8". Or marbles. But wouldnt use it for 2/8 steel. But the energy might be the same. No such think as "the most powerfull". Water is powerfull but not sitting in a tea cup.

@@411Outdoors yea i use 4 heavy tubes and counterweights rotating cam forks bla bla bla. People say thats some serious power. But its not. I want at least twice this grunt. But cant find tubes. The counterweights have nothing to do with producing power; its to stop any rotatiinal forces wasting what potential is already there. Even small things like taking too long to aim cools your bands down. Sime silly people use band warmers??😁😂🤣 seems a good idea but then hafta put them on slingshot ?? Durrrr!!😜

The Saunders Pro X wrist rocket folds up compact but when it is open the double flat bands extend to butterfly length draw at your anchor point by the mouth. It also protects your hand when shooting darts. It is designed to shoot at least a .45 cal lead ball but recommends .50 cal lead.

Here on the Gulf Coast of Texas, that usually doesn’t happen until January. 🤷‍♂️ When I was kid, we were pretty adept at choosing particular rocks as ammo.
