Don't forget! You're still rocking all the great healing, buff and control spells druids have too! Not to mention that although your shifter form lasts only 1 minute, your bear form lasts *AN* *HOUR* and can be done 2x per short rest! I also undershot the HP calc slightly, your max HP would be *49,* not 43 at this level!! Although not used in the damage calculation in the video, your DM also might let you use the Bear's bite attack as a bonus action, rather than the shifter one while you're in bear form! That gives you *EVEN* *MORE* *DAMAGE* and makes sense to me, personally. Enjoy!

For lvl 3 look at genie warlock chain pact Take investment of the chain master, in combat go into your flask or ring and use your action to let your imp attack, and with investment invocation it can make a second attack, imp have an average DMG of 15 with 2 attack this makes 30, all of this with advantage on the first hit, if it's invisible at the start of your turn and it can use its own action to become invisible every turn. You are now impossible to touch, and your imp very hard to attack, and have resistens to all DMG if it gets hit. Off course, take custom linage to bump up the DC for the imps poison save. You can even concentrate on a spell while during this, if you take metamagic adept and quicken spell, you can cast the spell as a bonus action, if you take Dao, you can cast spike growth so they can't even escape without taking damage, then jump into your ring and have the imp pick it up, attack and turn invisible. Enjoy! ✌🏻😎🤟🏻

Technically you can do a one turn step up as Moon Druid gives you the ‘option’ to use a bonus action to wild shape. So you can just shift as a bonus action then wildshape as an action. Only reason not to is if you would want to cast a spell before you wildshape.

Or do what I do. 3 levels bear totem barbarian, the rest of the levels as Moon Druid. Raging while in Wild Shape is fucking awesome. And being able to burn a spell slot to heal as a bonus action while in Wild Shape is a great way to get around not being able to cast spells while raging. We just had a major epic battle not long ago. As a level 8 character, I took around 250 hit points of damage in that battle. After Rage resistances, extra HP from two Wild Shapes, and healing as a bonus action every turn using spell slots, I took that much damage and still had a decent amount of HP left in my main form.

@@dumbghost3109 The druid wildshape rules state: "You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race, or other source and can use them if the new form is physically capable of doing so. However, you can’t use any of your special senses, such as darkvision, unless your new form also has that sense." Meanwhile the Shifter's shifting ability is described as: "Shifting. As a bonus action, you can assume a more bestial appearance. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as a bonus action. When you shift, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 temporary hit point). You also gain benefits that depend on your shifter subrace, described below. Once you shift, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest." To me, RAW, a character should not be able to take on the humanoid "more bestial appearance" and the shape of a beast at the same time, as these are entirely difference shapes. However, it could be read as the character taking on a more bestial appearance on top of whatever appearance they already have. There's nothing in the rules about only keeping non-physical traits, that's Rules as Intended, not Rules as Written.

A swift stride shifter who was a middle-aged, sassy, awakened mystic, sort of medium with short skirted victorian dress wear and a cigarette holder. I was running a wild hunt shifter way of mercy monk dressed in plague doctor attire with a cracked comedy mask. Really cool bunch of dudes.

I know that the long tooth shifter is a great option and thematically correct for what you're trying for wouldn't be lizardfolk be a good options as it also has a bonus section bite attack that also can gain temporary hit points. Then you could be like a scaly bear lol

The new One DND that is out has a dwarf Barbarian with a 16 CON hitting 18HP at level one with the tough feat adding to the dwarves toughness feature that they retained. Taking AVG HP (7 +1 +2 +3) that’s 31 HP at level 2

I’m rather partial to variant human barbarian 1 monk 1 for a strength brawler. You can use action and bonus to punch twice, so if you use your feat to get unarmed fighting it’s d8 per punch +strength +rage damage for 19 average dpr, 26 max dpr assuming 16 str, with 12+d8 (assume 16 con) average 22 hp, max 26 effectively doubled to 44 or 52 because of rage damage resistance, and no need for any equipment of any kind. Crank con and str, with dex third and dump all mental stats for a terrifying brawler. Very fun, highly recommend.

In a party of 4, a twilight cleric adds up to 240 hp per SR(much less effectively, but prob much more tanking than a druid). You get VHuman with CBE and you can do 2 RANGED attacks per turn. You also can cadt spells without dropping CD, so you can cast healing word on your fallen friends I think it's stronger because you're making sure EVERYONE is safe and your damage is more sustainable and safe

This depends on the DM since some will say you can only do certain racials as long as the wild shape can naturally perform it. My bear wasn't allowed to use dragon breath or fly according to my DM

I was thinking Rogue for the B.A. hide /dash on the Owlin race, but this works too. Depending on the DM, Stealth can be the most overpowered skill in the entire game, especially when paired with the ability to easily get away from dangerous stuff and into hiding spots.

I still love the damage a grave cleric can do, granted it takes some setup. At level 3, you can use your channel divinity to impose vulnerability on a target. Next you can cast inflict wounds at level 2. On a natural 20 roll, you now deal 4D10 and double the damage (or 8D10, depends on the DM), and double that damage for the vulnerability stack. Making it possible to deal 160 damage to a single target.

That was a grizzly pun. It completely polar-ised your audience. Really sun-dered the crowd. You made a real spectacle of yourself with that one. Puns aren't very sloth-isticated, you know. You should try going black to basics. And if you come up with another pun in a video, you should panda whole thing.
