I knew some about the Moho. I thought this would be a review. But I learned a lot. Sometimes people are bewildered when science talks about poorly understood subjects. As a retired scientist, I look back and see that I have spent most of my career looking for science that is not finalized. That is where I could make the most contribution and find the most personal satisfaction. These last 40 years where so many people want to be researchers and publications have become required even at the community college level, I deliberately chose education as most in need of workers. So when I see exceptional contributions to education, such as this video, I try to make specific and lengthy comments. Thanks for the excellent video.

@@aehighfmcolinchin No, professional scientists are too busy pursuing funding and tenure to contribute to education. That deficiency is severe in physics and math, but not so bad in geology. But don't be disappointed: less than 100 years ago there was virtually no funding and tenure was more . . . dependent on a person's social status. The world and its surface changes.

It's not really relevant but I still want to point something out. The region where Mohorovičić was born was called Croatia-Slavonia and it was part of the Habsburg Monarchy at that time. Also at 2:59 you use today's borders but it's 1919 we're talking, the borders were different.

the bible is amazing! already affirmed what came to be discovered only in the 20th century by this great name of seismology. read the Bible, it is also Science! Book of Job chapter 28.5
