when God breathed into man after forming the physical body he became a living soul, i understand soul to be the living part of a human( his ability to think, act, reason, praise...).,coz when the soul leaves you are dead.(you cant think, act, reason praise etc.), we are taught to guard the avenues of our souls as what comes in will influence our abilities, even that of praise, the more we watch(avenue of sight) songs (secular/uplifting gospel, we are filled with the spirit that comes with the same, ) i understand spirit to be that driving force within us, and that, we choose the type of spirit that fill us with whatever things we feed our souls with. body is just the visible physic with organs then enable the soul to perform. mind is used in perception. how we perceive things will be influenced with the spirit in us and what we feed the soul. if my understand is twisted and not right help me understand better.
