There's a Fall version too! As one doesn't necessarily want to wear cotton/ linen in the Fall or Winter season,

I agree with much of what you said. I would like to say that, however crazy busy and messy life can be, it is nice to create a sanctuary at home ... light and air, cozy and comfortable, welcoming ... some paint, perhaps a few family heirlooms, thrift store finds, some editing. Shopping at the farmers market can be achievable for many. In my state at least, those on food assistance can double their money there, and fresh veggies don't require a lot of prep time ... just wash and eat.

Makes me laugh! It is the rich grandmother thing. My coastal grandmother had 11 children, wore a house dress and an apron, lost her husband at sea and had dozens of grandchildren. She was a bit on the heavy side, probably had undiagnosed diabetes, wrinkles and chin whiskers, but she was the best and made me a birthday cake every year.

I discovered this theme today (a bit late I realize) and since it is close to how I dress in the summer, I have been loving it. The same thoughts on groups crossed my mind as well- good for you for starting the conversation! It is certainly something to consider and to encourage more voices and inclusive vibes. 👍🏻

I was born and raised 25 mins from the coast of Maine. If you’ve ever been to Freeport Maine.. it gives those vibes. Freeport also has the original LL Bean store there. I wasn’t raised with any sort of money. In fact, we were quite poor. But I’d see this style a lot. I wear a lot of coastal grandma type clothes now as an adult because the natural fabrics wear best on my sensitive skin. But it’s all thrifted 😂 The pieces are breezy and versatile and last forever so they don’t need constant replacing. I feel like it’s an “aesthetic” that works well for people who like a capsule wardrobe (I am not that person however 😂) but I feel like that’s why I’ve seen such a rise in the popularity of it. All the pieces are easily interchangeable. I just discovered your videos today. Keep up the amazing work, your channel is lovely!

Thank you, this was good. I love it and have been liking this style since I retired, I am a grandmother btw! It has much of the of the Danish hygge vibes.

this was a nice video frl!! i liked how you included the reality of this aesthetic and all aesthetics. you’re rly well spoken. and as a woc, especially in the old money, rich girl, gossip girl, type aesthetics it’s very easy to see white women at the forefront of that. Of course I would love to see more women who looked like me under those hashtags, but I do think that reflects on real life and the disparities in those type of communities. I shouldn’t have to type said aesthetic and then proceed to follow it by woman of color. But that is reality and as someone who wasn’t born into generational wealth, I guess I just have to keep looking 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Leslie, "generational wealth" takes generations. You, your family, your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be the future of the USA. Create the future that you want. Do not be distracted by images. You stand on the shoulders of your ancestors each generation will create a better life for the next generation.

Look at the Kardashians and many rappers or professional ball players. Lots of color w/ privilege. Times have changed. Think of “My Crib”.
