Please don’t leave KZread Danya… it’s not necessary a speedrun, you can comment one of your favourite Blitz game of the day after or something like that…. But the explanation of a game 3 times a week is just my favourite content in KZread (Chessly speaking). Thank you very much and keep going… you’ll hit a million subs here someday.

These are my absolute favorite Danya! Please keep doing the speed runs!
I was overwhelmed with the QGD theory. Thats when I started playing Carlsbad, and its such a fun and intuitive opening. Most of the time I can learn from my mistakes unlike other QGD positions where it becomes very complicated for me.

I should develop this technic of not grabbing a piece outright when you can do in-between moves just so you can neutralize any hope of counter offense! Thanks a lot for this video, Danya!
I’m a simple man. I see Danya post a speedrun vid, I stay up past my bedtime.
Something is wrong, there's only one chessboard in the video, yet there are three kings on my screen. 👑
Another fantastic chess lesson from daniel, this is why i love this channel. He explains EVERYTHING to help you, really nice man as well.
Great and really informative video! I especially liked Daniel's game as an example of the f3 - e4 plan, really instructive
love the speedruns so much. we're just addicted now, we need our weekly dose ahah. Can't wait for the new one. Started playing the four knights scotch thanks to you it's been pretty fun. As always thank you sensei
As much as I am looking forward to the rest of the end game series and all the other things you have planned... I still can't get enough of these "speedrun" style videos you do, playing live and explaining everything as you go. Thank you so much and I hope you never stop lol. Huge fan. Cheers from Nunavut!
Imagine booting up a 15 minute game and resigning with 14 minutes on your clock and also being a 2200

I always find that type of time management so crazy. Like, you can just play blitz??
A very structive video thank you for sharing that knowledge
i have been speedrunning your old video's for the last couple of days they are all very helpful thank you
These positional games are so insanely instructive! The tactical ones are too but these are a different breed
I’m always late to the speed runs so I’m still watching the 1400 videos, but each time I watch through I reach a new peak in my chess ability. I am developing new ways of thinking about positions and improving my calculation and I feel so much sharper. Thank you danya!! I’ll come by on twitch soon to give you my prime sub
That is fascinating start to finish.
You're an absolute genius of a chess teacher. It feels illegal to watch your videos for free.
I really really hope you will start a new speedrun! Its insane how much we derive from these video's. You are the most beloved instructive chess video maker on youtube, hands down.
The origin of this opening was during the 1800s when a club level player carl was too self obsessed with his chess so a master level player challenged him and decided to play a random line which he had not analysed prior and mated him with 5queens, and he decided to name the opening carl is bad variation (carlsbad variation)

hands down best educational content on youtube, and it wouldn't be as educational if it weren't super entertaining also. i love these videos!
Super helpful 🙏
Please keep the speedruns going, they’re so entertaining ❤ Try to play 1800 to 2300 so the opponents don’t do a lot of obvious blunders and they actually mount some resistance 😂
I love your explanations
That first example game was beautiful
That Botvinnik game is gorgeous
Hells yes new Danya speedrun vid!
I have waited for queens gambit so far!!!
More great stuff from Danya 🙏🙏
Danya, thanks for all the videos.
Love seeing this opening recommended. 2000 level player and this has been in my repertoire for years and I tend to score great with it with the Nge2 line
Thank you
Very good Danya
thanks Danya
This speedrun series is golden bro wtf
great game
Nge2 works well against be6, allowing Nf4 and the often smothered bishop is trapped- capturing often forces black to recapture with the f pawn leaving his light squares weak given black has often already played h6.
thanks
“gaping weaknesses” nice save
Please, speed run until 2400! Your channel is the next level learning. Awesome stuff
Gold Jerry! Gold!
I love how Botvinnik misdirected Keres haha.
Opponent queue 15 min to play bullet moves in complex situations
Severing the mechanism! Band name!
Does Daniel have Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Headphones on? I can't tell for sure, I know it's a long shot, just wondering if anyone knows lol
Or don't retire the speed run and continue to play intermediate - advance level players, I think games derived from those players are more interesting

Isn’t it also a Carlsbad when black trades the c pawn and white the e pawn?
Wait in the first game when he played Bd6 why not take on f6 cause if he takes with the queen, you can play Nxd5 and after cxd5 Qxc8
8 days with no speedrun was rough

Can you make a video where you tell us blacks plan in this opening and how white handle it i am 1700 i only play carlsbad with white it will be realy helpfull for positional players
bishop to f2 instead of Re1 seems much better. or am I wrong?
Hi Danya!
Why did you edit parts of your game out? Specifically, around the 12:20 (game time) mark, you were contemplating f5 and cut like 20 seconds out of the video. Is this just to shorten the length of the video?
Since I managed to achieve a bunch of things in chess, OTB chess, I have a feeling that chess has become a lot easier to understand. For example since I am 2000 fide, the games against the masters I am playing against, feel more smoothly and more easy. Do you have the same feeling ? @Daniel Naroditsky
@90DegreesAngle_
Жыл бұрын
I have the exact opposite when I finally hit 2000 OTB I only started to realize how little I actually knew and how insane the level of titled players actually is
The same structure arises in the exchange caro kann but reversed which is cool
❤️
Watching Danya plays is like: Oh ok, chess is an easy game, everything is so clear and simple. Me playing: OMG he moved a pawn!
36:35 This probably means that he doesn’t put them all on KZread. Sad...

Gotta hate the resigning with less than a minute off the clock in a 15 minute game. You really aren't kidding about people playing too fast.
yesss thank you now i can fall asleep
Poor Carl

If the Carlsbad is so effective then why isn't it called the CarlsGOOD?
Ne4 seems better than Nxb5
I wish Danya would do the speedrun until he loses.
The 2000+ rated players in this speedrun have been *awful* - hopefully you get better luck on the next one. Anyone who disagrees, just review the games and then look at the older speedruns. Stark contrast in skill level.
carlsgood?
Nice use of the word 'ostensibly'.
the guy's name and profile pic tho xD
