@@6lackjesus719 NO! The definition of "average" doesn't change (nor become unrealistic) because it doesn't represent what you want it to represent. It doesn't mean "How much does a typical person earn". It is not a median. You don't need to be a statitian to understand it. There are CFOs, CEOs, CIOs that make millions a month.

If you see the government as the 'only' problem and not the private sector that deliberately pays whites 3x more than Africans (according to StatsSA) , then you are part of the problem. If you are only bothered by the government and not the banks that colluded and manipulated the rand for them to earn a trillion a day for years, then you are part of the problem. Let us not be limited to government, I am not for the government. But when your only contribution to critique dialogue is government, then you sound like your problem is the face of the government. You take a risk of sounding like a closeted white supremacist because when you think government, you think African. And when you think private you think white.
Those stats are only including people who have real jobs. Because if we included the unemployed and the people working at shops that numbet would drop. I worked at a cashloan, a cellphone network shop and at stats. So I've seen payslips and bank statement and heard people tell me their ranges.
A stat that would make a clearer picture would be the median income or average throwing out highest income outliers who make a tiny percentage of the population but a large impact on the average
