I’ve used a shockwave avatar in VRChat and can confirm he is completely blind looking down due to his massive honkers. Not only that, but pretty much every other transformer avatar I’ve used has a blind spot due to less prominent robo-boobs. Seems like all transformers need breast reduction surgery…

Facts!! I play vrchat and have a shockwave avatar very much resembling the G1 shockwave. You deadass can't look down. You literally gotta either bend forward or move back a few feet lol. Also as a side note me and a friend went to a world where u can actually bake with ingredients. I challenged them to bake a cake as shockwave. Lemme tell ya that shit was hilarious!! Considering that shockway was a giant in the kitchen it was amazing watching shockwave flail around trying to find ANYTHING with his tiddy in the way XD

One of my favorite parts about the transformers community so far has been just how cozy it feels. Compared to other franchises, it feels like fans are way closer to the people who actually work on the shows. The fact a relatively small KZreadr can get an official voice actor just to ask him a meme question and have him actually play along with it is amazing.

Do you know why Prime Shockwave had it doe? I know he's a tank and the chest plate becomes a kind of screen where humans would be able to look through if they were inside him, but as a Cybertronian that's never connected to smaller beings, I question how he has that design since the concept of smaller creatures riding Cybertronians wouldn't exist for him on Cybertron

Yes, this is a question that I’d personally spent years pondering. So glad to see a definite and canonical answer.

My personal canon is that though Shockwave looks to have one eye, his body is actually covered in eyes to allow him to see all of his blindspots, making it impossible to attack him stealthily. My support, he has 2 eyes in Cyberverse one on top of the other, and in Dark of the moon, where Shockwave was still able to see despite his eye hanging out of his socket.

Due to how rarely we ever see him transform I always assumed that it was like part of the windshield or something. I guess you could say it's a boob window.

I honestly imagined it as a screen of some kind to display information like soundwave does (as a kid I always thought soundwave and shockwave were related in some way). Or maybe it’s a storage compartment for science equipment? Like he keeps a scalpel and tweezers and other stuff in there.

If you've read the IDW comics, then you'd know Shockwave is a lot like Darth Vader. He used to be an Autobot that had a rebellious attitude which gave him the punishment of Empurata. So he used to not always have boobs.

I get hard when I see Shockwave

Based on the Shockvawes which have a cybertronian tank/spider as their alt mode, the boob seems to be just the cockpit of said alt modes. Otherwise, in the other incarnations I would say that is their spark chamber (like the Japanese Transformers) and/or a massive compartment for more processing power to support Shockvawe's impressive intelligence.

I always saw his Booba as some kind of energy generator or energy storage case for not only his laser attacks but especially his gun mode giving that he transforms into a giant laser gun. You know what they say: with great power comes great Booba!

I never once, before seeing this video, equated Shockwave's giant chest with b**bage - or even robotic pectorals, for that matter. Now that you've brought it up though, it does make you wonder about the headlights on G1 Autobots like Prowl, and what would have happened if Arcee and other female Autobots had followed that body plan.

Shockwave makes a good point. It's no laughing matter. You can fit BW Megatron, Spongebob, Walter White, Superman, Captain America, Carly Shay, Gru, Cattus the One Blade, Invader Zim, Captain Rex, Fink, Beta Ray Bill, Mr. Incredible, Kratos, Fidget, Blinx, E-123 Omega, and an entire esports team in that thing. What if shockwave is secretly a matrix bearer? His chest is shaped somewhat like the matrix and he's an extremely mysterious character so I wouldn't be surprised if he was hiding some secrets. His chest also becomes his vehicle mode in some forms like in prime and the BBM studio series toy
