What is Romanticism?
Understand what Romanticism is and what it isn't, with examples from visual art and music from the period. Romanticism was a reaction against the Age of the Enlightenment. It was the assertion of the heart over the head and many of its ideas persist today. You probably have some Romantic thoughts and beliefs in your own mind right now!
