I’m slowly phasing out all my clothes to 100% cotton/silk clothing and I just feel better when I’m wearing all cotton. Thanks for the information!

Depending on where you live, consider adding linen, lyocell, and hemp! Look into them they have great characteristics and from an environmental standpoint they are pretty good. From your comment I guess you don't live anywhere where you would need wool, but also a personal favorite of mine. I like cotton but the weather where I live makes it so I need some others in the mix 😅

@@curlyfryactual thank you! Currently in the south but will be moving back up north so I’ll be buying some wool socks to keep me warm for the rest of the winter. And yes hemp and linen and Lyocell is great!

@@curlyfryactualYes, I'm slowly phasing all my clothing to cotton, linen, hemp, and similar nature made materials.
Great information! Thank you! Let's also not forget that polyester is a known carcinogen or cancer causing. The phthalates in these types of shirts are released into the water during washing as was brought out but they are also released into the air and onto the skin when worn. The skin then soaks up these cancer causing chemicals or you breathe them in through the air! Thanks!

Yeah, and? I was only interested in how polyester was made. More of it is being used than ever before, so let's also not forget that all the "sky is falling" virtue signaling in the world isn't gonna change that. We need clothes. I'm just curious how they're made. We're all still here. The sun keeps rising. The world keeps turning, even with polyester "out there". Just relax. It'll be alright.

@@e.l.norton Lol you ask me to "relax" like my original comment was directed towards you? I'm confused or you're mistaken. Who knows. I'm sorry that the facts I've laid out in my original comment hurt you in some way. Please relax, they are just facts. Take care.

@@coconut6839 This material has been used for almost 100 years. It's nothing new. Every single thing we use, own, wear, etc can be deemed "bad" in some way, shape or form. The cell phones were probably all using to post these comments with produce toxic byproducts and contain all kinds of "bad" stuff. Short of going back to log cabins, there is no way to avoid it. Even then, somebody would be whining that cutting down trees to build shelter was "bad". We all just need to live our lives in the world as it is and stop worrying ourselves into lactose intolerance. Just get dressed and don't worry. 😂
Awesome video. Informative and straight to the point.
Exactly the video I needed, thank you!
Great explanation. Thanks so much!
Loved the video man!
Valuable info... i always wanted to know where it comes from..thank you!
Very educative
Love your videos 😁😁 great energy !!
Great video, thank you
Awful to learn how much plastic is in the water due to clothing. Hopefully natural fabrics like wool and mycelium will become more popular
If you look it up, you can find it. Thanks for the informative video! Well done!

Wow...my blankets are so soft yet it's plastic!
With the price of clothing these days you’d think we would conserve them longer. I guess not 🤷♂️
I was wondering why as a sponge empath I've felt that polyester on my skin felt negative and now I know why it has nothing to do with of God like cotton 2:00
I am starting out a clothing brand and am wanting it to be eco-friendly for sure. I have looked into this idea of using plastics to produce my products. Do you have any recommendations of what would be best to use? or can you point me in a direction of anything that would relate to my idea please? :) Cheers Or even if it's a good idea lol

If you use plastic, even recycled plastic, you're contributing to the demand for plastic.

Certainly puts in perspective companies who use it to convey luxury, charge so much for it when really it’s cheap plastic like Ramy Brook. $300 for a plastic tank top

Are you suggesting that I clean my Polyester garments with The Cleaners instead of the washing machine?🤔
We ingest 5 grams of micro plastics a week! Our clothes have to be a huge contributor considering we wear it constantly… 😢
Can't stand the feel of polyester I wonder what it was😢😢😮😮

It’s so sad that some people don’t even have the money to buy real clothes made of cotton , linen or wool etc I’ve even got some plastic clothes but wish I hadn’t unfortunately it’s all about money again. You don’t realise how bad these cancer causing clothing is , they should be banned.

Agreed
Don't you mean Polyamorous?
The worst possible material you could use on your body, a cheap man made fibre that is easy to use for printing logos on, designers got lazy and started using this silly material because it’s easy to maintain even though it looks silly. Polyester is not fit for a rag.
