Sir in G+4 with 5500 sq feet area. 2o×12 column and 28 feet span. Beam depth 22 inch. Can I replace 32 mm dia to 20 mm. In last floor client want to reduce costing.

See area of steel remains constant as per the loading. if you reduce the dia the no of bars will increase. First check how much loading is on the terrace floor if it is less than the lower floors you can reduce the area of steel.

Ap plum kar sakte hai but wall ki thickness minimum 500mm hona chahiye. Aur iski design apke pas hona chahiye retaining wall ki. Kyuke apki height zyada hai 9m to soil ka pressure hota hai to wese step wise wall banana padti hai.. humne ek jagah kiya hai pehle 1m ka step fir 750mm ka step fir 500mm ka step.
