I have a lot of your Old School friends that order SpicyR when I am pretty sure they mean the Sweet n SpicyR. I Love all the videos. I agree I watch a lot of cooking channels some of the cooks use so much seasoning I wonder how anyone could tell what kind of meat they were eating I'm old school watching my mom cook for years she only used simple seasoning and to me it was delicious so that's how I cook to this day I don't need 5 different seasonings on food to enjoy it #HelpSomebodyOldSchoolSoulFood

I recently bought the sweet/spicy and the smoke bomb shakes. I agree, the sweet/spicy if my favorite! A lot of spice blends are just too heavy on the salt for my tastes but that sweet/spicy if right on!

Putting my order in TODAY Chef..

I just received my sweet & spicier unfortunately I won't be able to use it on everything because I'm diabetic and it didn't dawn on me from the title that it would be sugar base...I didn't find that out until I purchased that should be pointed out by you and by Steve's order page...I would've come out better getting the spicier...I may not be able to use the sweet&spicier if my A1C sugar level increase...I purchased the big bottle too but Steve was nice enough to call me about the mislabeled stating that you had to throw it out after 05/2022 just 5mos shelf life...Steve explained to me that it will last 4 two years...I appreciated him calling me personally to correct that...but I didn't check til after I spoke to him the ingredients...I also brought the gator season and he sent me a sample of competition pig shake

I have it and I love it!

If you cut iodine, be sure to eat enough shellfish or seaweed to keep your iodine level up. You don't want a goiter

I just received my Sweet'nSpicy R, Pig Powder, and Sweet Dessert Shake, but they didn't put the OSSF label on it, even though I wrote it in the "special instructions" section, "Old School Soul Food." I was 😞 . Steve did throw in a West Coast Shake, though, so I am good😊

I was about to order a bunch of spices on Uncle Steve’s site, but when I looked at the ingredients, I noticed that most, if not all his spices contain Monosodium Glutamate (msg). I can’t eat food with msg. in it. What a let down.

What is the ratio for your kosher salt and white pepper?

Hi Lisa, I just received my order of the Sweet n’ Spicy R (with the Old School Soul Food label 🙂) and there is nothing on the label that states Kosher. I would contact UncleStevesShake.com to ask them if their spice blend is Kosher. The 12oz container is pretty big, but of the two I ordered I am gifting one. For anyone else’s information there is a final line along the bottom of the label that tells you a clear expiration date. The ingredients are clearly listed along the right side of the label as well. The flip top lid has one side opening for the shake and the other for a measure spoon (or pouring if you are that enthusiastic!). Shipping was very quick, too. There you have it, a mini review apparently. And, thank you Chef Jeffrey, for telling us about a friendship as well as your recommendation!
