Hi Stephanie, thanks for watching and welcome aboard, it’s great to have you! I have heard so many stories about people spending a Kew, so don’t worry you are not alone! The mintage figures for the Kew weren’t released until around 2014, so nobody knew they were minted in such low numbers for around 5 years!

I watched this the other day and had to come back to rewatch it. I randomly went into Iceland today to get something and asked if they had any in the till when getting change. Glad I had as he gave me the Olympic Football. I'm going to be asking more often now because of this and would recommend others do as well, you never know what you will get.

I've been doing that the past couple of weeks but unfortunately where I am, either half the supermarket staff are collectors themselves and leave me with nothing or the other places struggle to even give me £2 coins full stop 🤣

Can never find any commemorative coins in my change but my eldest son gave me a Puddleduck to complete my set of all 14 Potters,he gave me 10 coins over FV even after I told him what they were worth,still can’t get hold of a Newton yet but will never give up

I rememember it clearly 2010 went out to get a coke from my local shop worker gave me my change as I was walking out put it in my pocket but I caught a glance of a Kew Gardens practically skipped home

@@bunglecollects it was just an arms design one ☝️ haha Now I have 5 x ‘arms design’ 50p coins & 1 x ‘Paddington bear at the station’. I’m starting to collect them and am thinking of asking for 40 x 50p’s from the post office. I’ve not had any Beatrix potter or Olympic coins so far, but I’m on the look out 👀!

Nice video gave it a like. It would be great to see the same for £2 coins and for both tho coins to be updated every month. 👍

Interesting that Judo is more expensive than Wrestling, even though Wrestling has the lower mintage, I guess Judo is more appealing to the UK

At the moment. £1 but they only circulated 2.5m of them, so I think it will go up in value in the years ahead 👍🏻
