What is Mutual TLS (mTLS)?

Ғылым және технология

Mutual Transport Layer Security (#mTLS) establishes an encrypted TLS connection in which both parties use X.509 digital certificates to authenticate and verify each other. MTLS can help mitigate the risk of moving services to the cloud, and prevent malicious third parties from imitating genuine apps. So, let’s start the clock for What is mTLS?

The amount of enthusiasm in his voice, it is an acquired taste. It shocked me at first, but then I liked it!

Well this certainly failed to enlighten me to what mtls is. It mentioned what the abbreviation is and the use case. Anything else was about regular tls. When you limit yourself to 90 seconds then you have to stay focused on your subject. If your target audience requires additional knowledge in eg the foundation of TLS; either get rid of your time limit, extend it, or create a 90 sec tls video you refer to. If you choose the latter you can refer to that too should you decide to tackle dtls. Aside from that you have a good presenter, clear speech pattern and good speed those of us with English as a secondary language. Also nice info graphics, on point without excessive animation.

Hi Neradas~ Thanks for the note and appreciate the comments. Often the purpose of these is to give some quick insight into an article, report or as in this case, a term. We always include a link so that the viewer can learn more or dig deeper if they so desire. I usually include a Card link in the video so it's easy to click thru to the info within the video but (for some reason) I'm having issues getting that done within KZread studio. And, the link in the description is a bit buried so I'm not surprised you missed it. Here is the F5 Labs article giving much more detail on mTLS: www.f5.com/labs/articles/education/what-is-mtls ps
