I vaguely remember going to Montessori a few days a week before the age of kindergarten. My brother too. I was a shy kid, but I remember feeling more comfortable there than when I went to kindergarten. I remember a sense of calmness, focus. I remember a teacher pointing out something original I did. I think it was a better environment than public school.

The fight needs to go on to push this in schools as the default approach.

Help aid world peace through education. Help this life-long Montessori student finish high school.

Been watching Montessori school videos and it's building up a passion in me. Im in Africa and i want children here to have quality education. How can i get guidance on how to start a proper Montessori school here in Africa that truly is a Montessori school in method of teaching because so far, that doesnt exist?

July Bani more hands on activities rather than just repeating and memorizing, and allowing the children to express their creativity in the perimeter of what they are supposed to be doing.

You don't have to Montessori certified to be an assistant. Try applying at a Montessori school, and do your research. It is a lot to take in as an assistant, when you are new to this learning method. Just like the children, you will learn a lot on your own, hands on.

I did it and loved it but only worked 6 hours a week. You won't make anything but it's very fun. Just read about Montessori. That's basically all you need to do.
