==========================
In this lesson we discuss what is Linear Motion Control and a few real-world applications with respect to linear motion, positioning systems and actuators used with stepper and servo motors.
Linear Motion Control in part depends much on the actuator and the linear actuator covers a broad range of products.
Linear motion is an area of motion control encompassing several technologies including linear motors, linear actuators, and linear rolling guides and bearings.

    Very informative. How do belt and ball-screw rails compare from durability perspective?

  • @realpars

    @realpars

    2 жыл бұрын

    That really depends on the service and the size of load being moved. Typically, belt-driven systems will require maintenance more often than ball-screw drives. Belts tend to stretch an deform if not tensioned properly or aligned properly. Ball-screw drives are very durable, but maintaining good lubrication is very important. Generally, ball-screw systems can transport heavier loads than belt systems and can develop higher thrust. Belt drives are much more economical if a load has to be moved a long distance (>3 meters).

    Please sir can you help me ! I want to input analog signals from potential transformer and current transformer to the analog input of PLC SO what interface do i have to implemt So the output of these two transformers can be measured and plc can read these signals?

  • @realpars

    @realpars

    5 жыл бұрын

    First, you need to make sure that the analog input card that you have for the PLC is able to receive the type of signal that you want to connect to it. Then you can read the manual for the sensor and follow the exact wiring diagram to wire the sensor to the PLC input card.

    i still dont understand how the screw is not coming out when spinning. Is there any suggested time stamp?

  • @realpars

    @realpars

    The screw is fixed at the drive end. When the screw rotates, the load nut moves along the screw shaft. Physical stops at the end of the screw shaft prevent the load from moving off of the end of the shaft.

    How to increase speed of servo motor to servo drive...

  • @realpars

    @realpars

    4 жыл бұрын

    There is a limit to the speed that a servo motor can run. Check the motor nameplate to insure to understand this maximum. Increasing speed above this maximum will require a new motor or a different gear reducer. Many times, there is a maximum speed that is configured in the servo drive. Check for that parameter and see if it can be increased. Often, the maximum speed is set due to limitations in the device being driven. For example, many conveyors cannot be operated faster than a certain speed or they might jump a track or cause excessive vibration.
