I am US, and the Kurdistan people living here are amazing. Not everyone accepts them, but I stand with them 200%. They are great people and sometimes misunderstood on their culture. People say, do not go to Kurdistan, but I would feel safe to go there, off of the 8 people I met in the US living here.

Well, I am a doctor from India. During my post-graduation training in Germany in 2003 to 2005 me, my wife & my colleagues used to visit a restaurant for dinner which was owned by a Kurdish family. Because of my frequent visits to the Kurdish restaurant, I and my colleagues became friends with the restaurant owner family. I have noticed during my stay that the Kurdish people are very kindhearted and have peace loving nature. From the interactions with the Kurdish family, I came to know & also from the Kurdish language they speak used to contain many words those of Sanskrit Origin and few of the words were absolute Sanskrit. I noticed that the Kurdish Flag has strong resemblance with the Indian tri-color flag on which they have the symbol of Sun having 21 spokes of rays. No 21 is considered to be Devine according to Vedic culture & traditions. Having Sun symbol on the Kurdish flag in-place of Crescent Moon separates them from Islamic culture. I think Kurdistan is the only country in the middle east that has Sun symbol on their flag. Also, as I was told that Kurdish people celebrate 21st March as new year day which is the day of Spring Equinox also indicates that they do follow Ancient Hindu Vedic Solar Calendar system. Are they followers of Mithra culture of the Ancient Persia? the word Mithra means Sun in Sanskrit. As I came to know that Kurdish people also believe in reincarnation of the Soul after the death of an human which I think connects them to the foundations of Hindu Religion. I have seen lightening a earthen pot lamp with oil in a traditional way in a temple and /or on holy occasions is only seen and always practiced in Hindu Religion & the various religious cults of Hinduism. I think it is the historical Past that the modern Kurdish People had abandoned & had also forgotten due to injustice done to them by the rise & spread Islam in the last 1400 yrs or more.

Halabja is one of the towns, and it got damaged by iraq, just like the hiro shima from Japan maybe about 1200 survived and 1000 and more people died😢, and the survivors ran to Iran without transportation!! My great grandparents came to Israel from Kurdistan and I really hope that one day I will be able to visit so that I could learn more about the culture

Im a baloch form pakistan! Ive just found out that we have many similarities to the kurds like language. Food and dance. My hope is too visit this country at least once!
