I applaud one's whose values are shown through their choices. And aren't what the majority of one's agree or do. Also the actions of doing so without words. Brings out the true value . An importance of what you chose to put first and the faith to do so. May you be blessed and continue blessing other's through your music.

Remember, when you're on any of these contest and win you're bound to the agreement you sign at the beginning. By leaving early she probably voided those agreements so as to go elsewhere. So people shouldn't be to hard on her. These shows control you and she didn't want that.

The term 'conventionally good looks' is a massive understatement. This is clearly written by someone that is incredibly jealous of her natural beauty. There is nothing conventional about her looks, she is about as perfect possible, which is highly unconventional, not to mention quite rare. Combine that with a musical talent and voice that is probably equally as rare, a pretty outgoing and (from what we've seen) a quite lovable personality and you have someone that is probably a bit too good for the show. I hope she gets the opportunity to make it on her own terms, instead of getting used by other people to make money for them, as what happened to the early part of Kelly Clarksons career.

Some people say she was too good for the show but I'll bet leaving the way she did hurt her for future endeavors with other record labels. There are thousands of amazing singers that you never hear of because unfortunately the music industry is a business first. I have a feeling that family pressures have something to do with her not courting the industry. Even with the contract conditions of American Idol if she would have stayed and won she would probably be a big star now. That was her foot in the door.

Then again, you can't go wrong with letting her finish growing up w/ her family. She's got time and certainly enough talent. Seems like when they grow up too quick in that Industry- a lot can go wrong and being a superstar.... sometimes isn't all that super. It's definitely not everything.

If she wanted to stay home and finish growing up with her family then why go through the considerable effort it takes to audition?

Mormon. That sums it up. No offense, but Amish isn't far behind. Umbilical cord needs to be cut before she makes it big. Makes me sad women are held to certain sub standards in that faith. Good in some aspects, but hell in others. Dad needs to set his daughter free and be 10x the man he is. He's holding her back from the world, and what she can give to others.

As a woman in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the same faith as Kenedi, I really hope people reading this can know that women in our faith are not held to sub standards. Yes, there may be some cultural aspects of this (depending where you live) but as far as the faith itself goes, please know, the sky's the limit 🌠 That includes, however, a belief that being a successful and famous musician is not the highest goal in life. Women in my faith are taught to have the strength and courage to make difficult decisions for themselves, to respect personal autonomy, and to have love for God, ourselves and others not judgement. Cheers ☺️

The Church is not oppressing her. If you knew very much about the church, you would know that. The lead singer of Neon Trees is LDS, as are the Piano Guys, Alex Pacheco, the lead singer of The Killers, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, and many others. Most of them active LDS members.

Well then, call over 18 million of us crazy, then. You really don't know a lot about the church, except probably a lot of falsehoods mixed with a tiny amount of truth.
