You may be wondering What is it like to Live in Abbotsford BC VS Vancouver BC if you are looking at options.
There are many reasons people are deciding on leaving the big city but we will focus on comparing Affordability, Child care, organzied sports as well as what it is like to live in Abbotsford BC.
Vancouver is beautiful, but find out why so many are choosing the suburbs over the big city.
In Vancouver
Residents enjoy a mild coastal climate with mild winters and pleasant summers, making outdoor activities a year-round delight. From Stanley Park's lush forests to the scenic seawall, opportunities for hiking, biking, and waterfront strolls are abundant.
The city's multicultural character is reflected in its vibrant neighborhoods, where you can savor global cuisine, explore unique shops, and attend cultural festivals. The city's commitment to sustainability is evident in its green initiatives and public transportation options.
Vancouver's thriving arts and music scene, along with its numerous museums and galleries, cater to diverse tastes. Sports enthusiasts can cheer for the Vancouver Canucks or Whitecaps, while nature lovers can easily escape to nearby outdoor paradises like Whistler and Vancouver Island.
However, Vancouver's cost of living can be high, and housing affordability is a challenge. Traffic congestion is another drawback. Despite these challenges, living in Vancouver offers a high quality of life, blending the best of nature and urban living in a multicultural tapestry.
In Abbotsford BC
Living in Abbotsford, BC, is a unique experience that combines the charm of a small town with the amenities of a larger city. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Fraser Valley, Abbotsford boasts a tranquil and family-friendly atmosphere.
Abbotsford's natural beauty is evident with its lush farmlands, rolling hills, and stunning views of Mount Baker. Residents enjoy a temperate climate, experiencing all four seasons, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing in nearby lakes and rivers.
The city is known for its strong sense of community and offers a variety of cultural events, local markets, and recreational facilities. It's a great place to raise a family, with excellent schools and numerous parks for children to explore. Plus home to Castle Fun park which everyone knows.
Abbotsford's affordability relative to nearby Vancouver is a significant draw, making it an attractive option for those looking for a more cost-effective way of life. The city is also home to a thriving agricultural industry, and you can find fresh, locally grown produce at farmers' markets throughout the year.
While Abbotsford may not have the bustling city life of Vancouver, it offers a peaceful and close-knit community with easy access to the amenities of larger cities, making it an appealing place to call home.

Great Video in itself, as an Australian I found this very informative. But I am a little basis because Canada, and some parts of the US have been my go-to places in North America

Would be really tough decision. If you are studying at UFV then absolutely Abbotsford is the better choice. There is housing options close to UFV available. But if your studying in surrey the commute regularly might make more sense to be in surrey or Langley
