Very informative video. I think Mutual Funds are better than Index Funds because of the tax credit incentive by govt, otherwise, Index funds are good for SIP.

I believe index funds are also considered as mutual funds for tax purpose - correct me if I am wrong? However, index funds are good for someone entering and confused over which fund to invest in to start with.

@@WaliKhan_2k I heard a Meezan ETF executive that they are not covered for tax credit, govt may incentivize that in future.

tracking can be checked on historic performance - In Pakistan - we dont have the data readily available to analyze multiple mutual funds in one go - but there are paid resources like MUFAP which might help.

Thanks for your comment. However, it entirely depends on you and your long term goals - I can only say that you should always keep investing on monthly level consistently. If you have fixed amount in your mind per month, than we can see how much %age can go into each fund depending on your long term and medium term goals.

With PSX account you cannot by golden arrow fund. For that, you need to open account with AKD mutual funds.

@@IkramKhan-sp5tt I recommend if you have not started yet any investment - you can start from index fund - as it will not get impacted by the performance of fund manager, but only index. But if you believe in one fund manager, you can go for mutual fund directly too. After 6 months of investment and tracking, you might evolve into further - so we can see after you keep investing for 6-8 months.
