Useful camera bag Emilie. I have a variety of bags and backpacks which I use, to some degree depending on the subject I am shooting. However, one camera bag that frequently goes either me was bought on Amazon. As well as main central pocket there are 4 external pockets one on each side, a small internal pocket on the access flap and the case can be extended to accommodate a camera and telephoto lens. I can fit a 300mm f4 with x1.4TC and OM-1 camera connected with the lens pointing vertically downwards. Unfortunately this amazing bag is no longer available. Hope you soon recover from your flu bug.

I have tried other bags, but I always gravitate back to my old Billingham Hadley Pro. It carries the right amount of gear for most any day trip. Even in a downpour in the tropical jungle of Costa Rica, it kept everything dry and I can access the pouches or interior in seconds using the "strap and clogball" fasteners. I guess I also appreciate the easy access of a shoulder bag over a backpack, plus it just looks great.

Hope you are feeling better. Good info. But when I travel to another to other sites to photograph I carry a more robust camera bag that protects the lens. I have a think tank lens limo for my big dog….that is what I call the 150-400 mm! lol

I am a little old school. I have a tamrac backpack that will outlast me. The bottom has my 2.8 trinity and my EM1.2. The top has accessories and my tiny but impressively made Aoka tripod.

Hi Emilie. When you are in the field with your long lens on the strap and it’s raining, do you leave it out or cover it somehow? I know it’s weather sealed but I struggle having my EM1 MK 2 and 100-400 on a capture clip in the rain and snow. Scott from Ontario Canada
