Tbh, and this is a hot take, Niji is fine, but Niji EN mostly feels like a gaggle of 17 year olds trying to 1-up each other constantly on how gross and edgy and sexual they can be all the time, and that's something that gets very old very quickly for me because I have to deal with kids like those all the time IRL. Without Nina, I feel little reason to watch anything there. Maybe a bit of Pomu and Finana at times if I feel like it. Dunno, man, I'm more of a perv than 50% of you guys there, but EN vtubers in Niji and most indies are too obsessed with t&a at times and it's a bit draining. When their normal outfit sometimes (and this is more for indies than anything) looks more skimpy than a regular bikini, and their melons are 2x the size of their head each, you know they're being brutally straightforward with the kind of content they're selling to you. Which is fine, but not when a thousand of them are competing for the same audience, at least not for me. Holo can be a bit more tame and some might say artificial, but I'm fine with a bit of levity at the end of the day, rather than more tits, ass and all that.

For me it's that it gets boring after a while, when they're trying to chase that shock factor. If everyone's trying to be loud and attention-grabbing all the time, it just ends up as noise and I'm desensitised to everything. I much prefer Holo cos (a) there's space for the non-lewd stuff to grow (or the kid brain lewd type like Nene and Bae) which is absolutely quality on their own terms, and (b) when you get actually lewd ones, they stand out even more because of the contrast.

To be fair, Fighting games are the only games that does that button thing, every other game would simply just tell you that Light attack is on Square, or X, or Y or whatever, depending on what controller you are using, but fighting games opted to this dumb crap. And I will never understand why.
