Put Forward Lean for me was a game changer.. I had difficult with heel side turns and heel side carvings. everytime I loose my body balance.. After I changed to Forward Lean, my body position is PERFECT and seem I can't position my balance wrong because I'm not abble do that,. my kness needs to be bent all time.. result: good carvings heel side, toe side super quickly to change edge to edge..

I have to have max forward lean. When I first tried it I never went back. It made turning so much easier for me without catching an edge and not having to do awkward body positions to fo a quick carve.

I use about 6 degrees forward lean on the front binding only, rear is stays at 0, all mountain. Flat rear helps me dampen board flex when I need to hold an edge or maintain stability on sketchy terrain. One of those lesser known adjustments for many folks.

Love it, just goes to show theres no right or wrong. As long as you feel comfortable riding thats the most important thing!

Same here. I use half lean on the back rather than the front foot. I find for good carving and edges hold the front lean on forward foot is essential, not so important on the back foot

Good video. Worth noting that large amounts are forward lean are more tiring - the quads have to do a lot more work and you can't stand up as straight on those easy sections to give yourself a rest.

Oh for sure, imagine spending all day walking around without ever standing up straight 😬

Just like Matt said in the video, it’s really just up to you and your personal preference.

Exactly what i wanted to know, but i still have one question. Should bove feet have the same setting, or can the back food have a little bit more forwar lean?

Most people will match the front and back but its not unheard of for them to be different. Just something you have to play around with and just feel it out a bit.

I have a boot that doesn't have very much forward lean (Hera Pro) and when I ratchet up my forward lean it actually pushes my boot way forward so I have way more toe drag than heel - is that normal?

If it’s actually moving your boot forward in the binding so your toes are hanging off more that means that you don’t have your ankle straps tight enough to hold your boot back in the binding.
