I worst thing about nuka world is: if you don't want to be a raider, the main story is literally 1 quest. ONE.

They should of gone with a Dawnguard type story, you could either join the evil Raiders, or a new good faction of sorts, each side having unique quests, but nOPE

I think a way they could have fixed this was have a faction trying to take Nuka world from the raiders, and you could join them and help them take over and free the slaves, but they would be too weak and you have to do things to get people to support and help them, then have a huge war at nuka world. it could add some more quest line for those not wanting to join raiders than just killing everyone, and if you side with the raiders then you could have 1 more quest that will have you kill the faction wanting to take nuka world over.

I'm glad at least someone was thinking the same as me. Frankly, apart from Nuka World and Far Harbor (both equally bad) Fallout 4's DLC was laughable. I liked the settlement system but the DLC content should've been free and added anyways. Not to mention half the settlement DLC was basically stolen from already existing mods.

Although I agree with the first part of your statement, I actually really liked Far Harbour and Nuka World. Far Harbour seemed to be a more compressed, better version of the vanilla game, trimming off most of the filler locations, fixing the problems with the factions, and overall giving a more story-centric experience. And Nuka World... Well, Nuka World was just fun. Not very important lorewise, but there wasn't a location in Nuka World that I didn't find interesting.

Fallout 3 had Broken Steel, The Pitt, Operation Anchorage, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. All of them were unique with a good story and added more lore and a brand new area. Not just new weapons and armor. Fallout New Vegas had Old World Blues, Honest Hearts, Dead Money, and Lonesome Road which again all added more lore and brought a good, fresh new story Fallout 4 has Far Harbor, Nuka World, Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, and Vault Tec Workshop. Only 3 brought anything with a story really, and one being Nuka World only really caters to those who would be pro raider. The other 3 are specifically just usable content, no new area except the vault but in comparison with its predecessors. This game lacked extremely in the content they released and just seemed half assed. Which saddens me because in the end this is one of my favorite series in video games.

You can also start open season anytime, so you can gather good items and then betray the raiders. Far harbor has many choices and 3 difrent factions, so you can have a different run and ally a difrent faction. It has many different options, like he said and has rare items and difrent creatures, and a whole new map and player space.

best and worst of fallout 3: broken steel saved fallout 3 for me, giving you the chance to level up ten more times and a much better end setpiece to the game, as well as setting up the brotherhood for fallout 4, and explaining that the enclave couldnt come back from their attack any time soon. operation anchorage oddly enough set the groundwork for fallout 4, it featured indestructible equipment (including the power armour you got after completing it which ironically was the only thing you could keep legitimately in the base game that couldn't break) a simple story, and included a memory lounger. the others were ok, but mothership zeta is only a little bit better than anchorage imo

Far harbor was the greatest dlc in the fallout series, and on par with the shivering isles from oblivion imho. The atmosphere, characters, and dialogue of Far Harbor had me reminiscing over the many stories written by H.P. Lovecraft. Especially (my personal favorite) The Shadow over Innsmouth. This is why Far Harbor and Point Lookout have always stuck with me, even years after I have played them.

I hated the simulation thing. Entirely a choice in the game my rear. Every DLC required the Settlement Mode at least once. Of course the base game too. If Settlement Mode ever happens in the next TES of Fallout, I hope it's just to the limits of personalizing an already made home like Home Plate in Diamond City. Not everything needs to compete with Minecraft. And we can buy furniture, or make it ourselves ESO fashion. Just no more settlements with no purpose at the very least!

I haven't played Nuka World but regardless, Far Harbor is deffinitely my favorite DLC. I'm a boater in the summer so the whole maritime theme is amazing. I also love the fact that it wasn't a wasteland. I'm using the Regrowth mod to turn the base game into a huge forest because I'm not a huge fan of the wasteland aesthetic. Also I love the marine combat armor.

Freaking Batderp to be fair you do have a point New Vegas is boring until you start to level up and get better weapons and when you reach New Vegas (I mean the city in-game) that's where the game shines every side quest has a story and multiple branching paths and ending well not all of them but a decent number and those that don't are still amazing and the weapons with all the dlc of the game (especially Gun runners arsenal and Lonesome Road) are amazing and superior in my opinion to fallout 4's weapons so does the armors in New Vegas are all better and more cool looking then FO4 and if you ad a few mods to the game it will be amazing plus the main story line is more complex and I have counted 4 endings with 3 factions so to tell it simply NV is boring in the few first 5-10 hours but after that it's in my opinion the best fallout game after the first two fallout games so give it a try with the dlc and mods and you will love it.

I loved the Mechanist Quest for Atomatron, especially the little surprising twist at the end. Those who played it know what I'm talking about, hate to spoil it for others, tho. As for Vault-Tec Workshop, that's definitely one of my favorites! I love the whole Vault building addition, and Vault 88 is awesome! TONS of space to build and now plenty of building options as well. Atomatron was great, like I said The Mechanist Quest was good, and the Mechanist Lair is.....okay, I guess. A tad cramped, as there should be a little more you can build on considering the actual size of the entire place. Rogue Robot is a fun continuous side quest where you can add lots and lots of settlers to any settlement. (I think he has a video on that, er...someone does) I'm currently playing Nuka-World, as I just bought the DLC season pass the other day. And so far it's awesome! That "Gauntlet" was really a great, original idea for Bethesda. Although, I do think it could have been more creative. Especially the Overboss fight. I took him out rather quickly. Pussy. And I'm saving the best for last. Far Harbor. At least, thats what most people are saying, and majority rules. Haven't even started it yet. I'm totally enjoying Nuka-World though. It's gonna be tough to beat. I just hope I don't have to choose one of the 3 gangs to side with. I liked them all.....not so much the "Pack", but the other 2 were okay. I like the disciples, myself. Nisha is a sexy bad ass bitch. She can kill me anytime 💔💘

Thank you. My personal favorite for DLC is the story-based ones like Mothership Zeta, Old World Blues (my favorite DLC for the Fallout series) and Far Harbor. Nuka World was pretty awesome, but it didn't allow me to take out one gang at a time. Old World Blues pretty much included the best of everything.

You are just agreeing that Bethesda knows exactly what they are doing since, the higher the price, the more the DLC has to offer. Plus if you break down the $30 season pass and say Far Harbor and Nuka World were $10 each, then the other 4 are $2.50 each. That makes all the DLCs an excellent bargain. Even the most hated Wasteland Workshop gave me cats and dogs, a decontamination arch, a huge generator, placeable garden plots, a bunch of new lights, and Concrete construction -- a sweet deal for practically nothing.

I know I may not make many friends with this opinion, but I think that Nuka-World was by far the worst DLC. Now hear me out, when Fallout 4 was released, a lot of fans were upset that the karma element was removed. And the morally ambiguous campaign storyline, while it made for fun debates with my friends about the morality of the institute or BOS, wasn't as engaging as previous titles. With the release of Nuka-World, it was obvious that Bethesda had listened to their fans, at least to a degree. Once I realized I could join the raiders, or go on an immersion breaking rampage and kill hundreds of them on my own, I truly felt that Nuka-World was a temper tantrum from Bethesda. "you wanna be a bad guy so bad? Fine, be a bad guy! *hmph" There was no interesting way to bring in the Minutemen or BOS, or anybody else to control the park. Shit, choosing who would run Primm had more complexities than this DLC. At the end of the day, we want a smooth, fun, pretty Fallout where we are still able to choose our morality, not to just have to justify that we chose the right "good guys" in our own heads. Honestly, I felt insulted with the half baked attempt at a DLC Nuka-World was. That said, I still love the Handmade Rifle and it's my go-to.

Wasteland - decontamination arch, fusion generator, and cages (particularly brahmin to max fertilizer production, or dog/gorillas for happy settlements). Contraptions - ammo plant and concrete walls/cheap concrete shipments Vault 88 - a new settlement with a huge building area, but one so poorly pathed that you will only use the main chamber. Lots of materials to steal for your other settlements. Reactors too big to be needed. In other words, most of it is junk as far as stuff goes. At least it has some good quests and tons of legendary enemies. Having the stat boosting items in your settlements is nice if you have a particular build (like a melee build) for which that one extra Strength is a nice boost to consistently have once you put a bench in every settlement. Automatron - Robot provisioners (can be built to keep the Commonwealth roads safe and never are the quest turn-in wandering about), an extra settlement to send them out from, and the means to turn Ada, Cogsworth, Nurse Curie, and homebrew Automatons into great companions. Some new weapons and armor, but nothing spectacular. Also, two new dungeons - one which is huge and one which reloads. Nuka World - good gear, plenty of legendary enemies, and the ability to get some killer perks - at the cost of usually screwing up the commonwealth. If you plan to finish the DLC and then betray the raiders, put a hard save before you start taking commonwealth settlements, leave those settlements as unhappy as possible (apart from booze and chem stations that will still work afterwards) - choose a "feeder" settlement that doesn't have kids or NPCs you like (you may have to kill everyone to get it back). Then - finish the DLC as quick as you can, then try to free your settlements and see if you can get them all back. I've had trouble with Zimonja and Egret Tours, so avoid those at least. I have not had trouble with Red Rocket and Sunshine Tidings. Far Harbor - the only problems are (A) some of the gear sucks (harpoon and lever gun were disappointments) and (B) some of the end perks are buggy/super conditional. That said, it had some of the best gear, legendary modifiers, and story. Also, with the cheap concrete shipments the barn foundations are the quickest, cheapest, and best way to usefully wall off a settlement.

For example you can't really make a top 5 best classes in borderlands 2 but you could rank them from least to greatest sort of how you did in this video. I think it would be a cool idea because you could make a lot of videos that you previously couldn't due to there not being enough to talk about.

The best DLC is Far Harbour, and the worst DLC is Nuka World. Know why? Here's my 3 reasons: 1) Minutemen wasn't allowed to be destroyed by our raiders. In Far Harbour, we were allowed to choose to destroy all of 3 factions, or spare them. 2) Diamond City and GoodNeighbor cannot be raided due to our characters being too overpowered. 3) Nuka World was kinda boring. Far Harbour are very interesting and emotional. The Nuka World DLC could have been the best one if Bethesda allows us to eliminate Minutemen for good.

I know I am one year late, but I would have loved to do the opposite. I really like the minutemen and I can bear Preston Garvey really well. I just can’t imagine why you’d join the raiders. I’d love if you could use the minutemen to takeover nuka-world (I did not play the DLC but tried informing myself about it, so correct me if I got something wrong). I also find this idea of killing all the minutemen a missed oportunity for bethesda. I’ve also seen on YT that the raider faction is quite bugged when you use enslaved settlements as your foodsource for raiders.(maibe it was fixed)

What about the level of detail? I like how you can walk into a building and look at the old remains. They tell a story of what happened before the bombs or what has happened in past years. Is some buildings you can see a husband that killed his family and then commuted suicide. That stuff is deep, that's what I also like to see along with new stuff that you explained in the video. Skyrim isn't as detailed to a point where you can look at something an imagine ppl using it. Dunmer on skyrim ruins were probably my favorite part to explore, but there wasn't much detail and mystery to the rest of the world other then having to read book ingame to find lore. So, was there stuff like this?, like little details that left a story behind for the player to make his own conclusion of what happened?

I saw fallout 4 on sale a couple months ago. I was excited for its release but never got a PS4 til last year and forgot all about it. Anyways, fallout game with all dlc and I don’t really know what’s what, except the big ones like far harbour (which I went to pretty early just by following my quests) and Nuka world. I found Nuka world was a pain to get through, probably just because I was under leveled and hated most of the areas except the Wild West zone. It was fun but it took almost no time to complete. In the end I didn’t want to destroy my own settlements so I had to kill the raiders. I loved exploring the automatron story. I came across it really early so it was a huge challenge to even get into the mechanists lair, but once I did, it was worth it! I like building bots and Ada is a lot of fun to have around. Especially since she’s a walking arsenal! Once she’s upgraded she’s just unbelievable!

I look at it the opposite way, new consoles are too expensive for me to justify purchasung. A solid PC is just so much more value for your money. A decent gaming rig will run you around $700-$1000, not much more than a new console generation at release. And you won't need to upgrade it until the next generation of consoles come out because nearly all games are made to run on console hardware so they won't be pushing hardware requirements constantly. You can also use the PC to browse the internet and do other things like work from home. And a gaming PC is also very solid for video/image editing if you ever need to do that. Most homes will have a PC of some sort these days anyways. So if you figure $700 for a new console and $300 for a basic PC, you have the price for a gaming PC covered right there. That being said, i want to close by saying that there is nothing wrong with preferring consoles if that is where you want to game. Just pointing out that we are far from the days of a good PC costing thousands while you could buy a Nintendo for a couple hundred dollars. The price difference between the 2 really isn't there anymore until the current console generation is several years old.

Playing Far Harbor on console is a pain in the a** because of the fog. So because NW looks better and fallout dialogs are generally not my favorite these are my top 5 1. NW 2. FH 3. Vault Tec/Automatron 4. Contraptions 5. Wasteland

fallout 4's lifespan relies too heavily on the modders. kinda makes bethesda sound lazy, they could have made one huge bit of content every 3/4 months for a year at least

JD pitmint true without the mods fallout is dead infact I had to download 2 faction mods to make things more interesting the UIF and the enclave from America rising the BOS is dead of course because both factions hate the BOS and I am general of the MM so the rail road is still alive so ya in my mind I formed the COMMENWELF allince with the enclave and UIF and maby rail road

I didn't know where the best place to post this was, but what do you think of the new video Keep The Roleplaying in my RPG by IAmPattyJack. It's a little more about Elder Scrolls than FO4, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the topic.

It’s not even a big quantity in my point of view. I would have been okay with a dlc that adds tons of preston garvey quests, as long as they are enough to make up for the bad quality

adds one location, a few settlement objects one linear questline about building shit that does nothing. i'll take the story and robot customisation over building a vault for some 200 year old bitch's ego

Had to compare the add-ons vs. the story dlcs. I feel like the vault/workshop/contraptions were solid through and through. They should've been part of the whole game in general. The dlc FH/NW/AT are great, though I noticed FH was almost like a full fledged game at first.
