Just because it's very difficult to achieve doesn't mean it's hypothetical dummy. U capitalist supporters always want an easy route of system of freedom and profit, u aren't the one cares about equality, poor people, the only thing u care about is personal profit...

If you have a commune where everyone there had specifically sought it out, and everyone buys 100% into how it's run, that's one thing. Otherwise, you absolutely need a state to compel (force) people who don't want it, to comply, and then to enforce the system.

The ans is the people themselves are compelled to follow communism. The idea is that you will have a state of the working class to oppress the rich that were in control prior the establishment of the workers state. After some time there will be no classes in the socialist society and thus no need for the state. So the state is need to ensure that the workers have the power but when the idea of workers itself gets abolished then there is no need for a state.( Btw the state does not necessarily refer to the govt. U can read more bout communism to understand what a state actully is)
