When you examine island ppl and the family culture it is sooo toxic and traumatizing and any "pushback" is "disrespectful" and when you respectfully become distant then "you are too full of yourself" and they pray for your downfall "cuz you will need us"- all this force you to CUT THEM OFF. You're on point, Stella. Pile 1... partly my story, but I was quiet. My Mother treated me this way even as an adult. I had to let her go. They all pushed me to stand in my power. I had respect for God always so I allowed people to speak on my because I don't argue with anyone and I can't stand drama. Yes, I believe they were all jealous.
