I've used Platinum Baryta for several years and love it, I also use Smooth Cotton 300 for subjects where this paper is sympathetic to the final result I'm looking for, but I've wanted a more textured baryta paper for a while and the Canson Baryta Prestige and Baryta Photographique II Mat both look like excellent solutions.

Interesting. As a user of original baryta papers as well as modern, I would add that better black follows first from your printer's inks and resolution setting and second from paper like baryta. At the other end of the dynamic range, baryta paper can be brighter or whiter. Here we have to discern baryta from optical whitening/brightening agents (OWA/OBA). Between these two, baryta does not need violet light for it to look brighter and it is better resistant to ageing than OWA/OBA. So, it helps to give your images more dynamic range on both ends. Of course you can print a muted foggy landscape on it, too.

Hi ! any idea on what icc profil to download from canson-infinity site if I have an Epson ET-8550? It is not listed as a proposed one. Would surecolor p700 icc profil work as a substitute?
