✅ What is a Bobcat Toolcat 5600? Owner Review - Detailed specs and walk around of features

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here I cover many of the capabilities, specifications and features of my 2016 Bobcat Toolcat 5600. I use it for maintaining my 47+ acres; Mowing, brush cutting, snow plowing, moving rocks/wood/trees, accepting freight deliveries with pallet forks, etc. It has aux hydraulics to run nearly all skid loader attachments. Overall very versatile machine and my favorite feature is it has a big cab with 2 seats so I can bring the family along with me. That is the biggest feature I like about it over the skid steers I've owned and tractors I have used. Its no replacement for the fun factor of the Polaris RZR 900 I had but its a much better workhorse! Its basically a two seat tractor (especially the Toolcat 5610 version with rear 3-point and PTO). See my other videos of the Toolcat in action on my channel.
The Nater Tater Channel ( / natertater ) covers any topics related to my 47 acre property. Building things, driving things, smarthome, wifi, outdoor activities etc. Follow me to see my many projects!

I’ve owned a Toolcat 5610 for several years. Great machines, use it around farm with finish mower, brush mower, spraying and general usage almost daily!

Awesome! I not so secretly want a 5610 so I get the 3-point ans PTO and then get a japan mini truck to use as my dump bed that I can actually load with the Toolcat.

Thanks for the in depth walk though. I need something small but with lots of power to move materials up and down our little mesa. I just cut the drive so it’s still in rough shape, it’s steep and tight in spots. One question I have is how well it handles steel grades with loads in bucket/ bed/ towing? I’m doing most of the work on my own so I also like the versatility of this tractor/ utv hybrid.

I have no problem with hills but I'm also in SE Michigan which isnt known for steep grades.

Man those toolcat are sweet. Kinda surprised that other utv manufacturers aren't making hydraulic hook ups and equipment for there models.

They are nice, UTV's dont have the torque or weight of a toolcat. Polaris is trying somewhat with the Brutus but still cant compete.

I'm a little bit shocked this exists. I have been thinking about building and inventing something almost exactly like it for years. Those tires look small though, bet it sinks into mud pretty badly.

  • @NaterTater

Yes it is not known for its mud capability. Its better than a skid steer but worse than a compact 🚜 in mud. Some people have put mud or Ag tires on them to help.

Do you know if you can run the front high flow and the rear pto on the 5610 at the same time? Thanks

  • @NaterTater

Unfortunately you can't...have to pick either front or rear hydraulics at any given time. Can use the loader and PTO but not front aux and rear PTO

how hard is it to change attachments? does it take brute strength ?

  • @NaterTater

    @NaterTater

It's easy. All the work is done by the machine. Mine has the power bobtach which even uses hydraulics to engage the lock levers so I can stay in the cab and swap attachments (except ones with aux hydraulics). But my past two bobcats had the manual lock levers and even those are easy. No brute strength needed.

I wonder if this can lift a 6x5' hay bale about 1500 lbs off of a 4ft high flatbed

@NaterTater just got a 2021 model bought with 500 hours, road kit, high flow, plus a new bucket and hay bale spear for 64k. For 10 acre horse farm. Most importantly for snow moving, and occasional hay bale moving. So I thought this would be a good option vs a john deere 4 series or a skidsteer. We also don't have afour wheeler. So really its a 3 in 1 machine. Pretty excited for it. Just worried about potential issues that seem to arise that tractors or skidsteers don't seem to have
